  1. Can't blame her for not seeing the movie yet. I wouldn't want to see a crappy movie I was in either There has to be a cast commentary on the Blu Ray I would love to hear their thoughts of this production. Might watch a Kate movie this week. Seen Shooter a little while ago, so I might re-watch the James Franco "major oops!" movie 127 Hours.
  2. They could always seek out another lower budget ensemble project to star in, it doesn't have to be a funnybook movie. Actually, it would be an interesting project if they did, an anti-Hollywood one. Critics would probably eat it up.
  3. You know, the more I thought about a Blade Runner sequel, the more I'm thinking it's a bad idea. I've always thought it ended well, with hope and a shade of doubt. It was like having a dream and you know your about to wake up and you are just trying to organize your thoughts into a proper denouement. But then again, I thought Ridley's Alien didn't need a sequel and by going in another direction, it worked.
  4. I'd rather see Eva as Wonder Woman. Too skinny. Like it or not, WW needs some curves. We don't see a non muscular Supes. I guess you missed Sin City 2. Nope, not yet. You're not alone.
  5. Live-action or not, Nicholle Tom was always a worthy Supergirl compared to the others.
  6. Whoever updated the wiki site information missed some movies (and details). thenumbers.com: Movie Budget and Financial Performance Records I think this website is wrong. I bet they are mixing production numbers and production + marketing numbers. Box Office Mojo and the Wiki show the Lone Ranger production budget as $215 and $225 respectively with the wiki claiming the $225 number is confirmed. Maybe the extra $50 million that is reported on the-numbers.com is marketing for that movie? Nope, the estimated marketing cost for the Lone Ranger is $150 million worldwide. Astonishing! Assuming Avengers AoU had a similar marketing cost, they movie better make well more than $1 billion dollars. The three movie analytic sites try to report on just the production budget, though boxoffice.com started plugging in an estimate of marketing expenses a few years back. Avengers: Age of Ultron thenumbers.com (production budget): $250,000,000 boxofficemojo: $250,000,000 boxoffice.com: $340,000,000 (*) * BoxOffice.com's total budget numbers are a combination of production budget figures and estimated domestic P&A costs I would assume boxoffice.com is plugging in the $250 MM plus Print & Advertising expenses. I'm just guessing (if Batman & Robin can almost make a billion-the DVD commentary), they'll probably pull in a couple billion or more for the next year in merchandising. I'm still seeing a lot of licensed Avengers 2 stuff out there (a lot of back to school stuff and costumes, toys and the Blu is out Oct.4). I'm still seeing Iron Man 3 and Avengers #1 stuff in discount stores.
  7. Everytime I watch it, I want to buy an dishwasher and snow tires at Sears and dine at iHop after.
  8. I recorded the CBS Fall preview show last night. Can't wait to watch it. It'll be my first viewing of Melissa in action.
  9. I'm not buying it tomorrow. It screams $10 Black Friday this time of the year. Guranteed $10 Black Friday stuff Homeland Season 4, Supernatural Season 10, NCIS Season 12, Criminal Minds Season 10. Guranteed $15 Black Friday stuff The Walking Dead Season 5, Once Upon a Time Season 4. Only season tomorrow that won't be on sale in November will be Blue Bloods Season 5, but it'll price crash to $15 in half a year.
  10. Wow. You can predict when a Hollywood Summer product with reasonably positive buzz is gonna be a hit and a troubled one is gonna bomb. I'm impressed.
  11. That'll stunt any increased voice salary negotiations with the original stars.
  12. I spent the better part of last night watching the bonus stuff. It's endless. Now I want to watch the darn thing again tonight! My favorite stuff is the "5 Wives" doc and the stunt man stuff. I couldn't believe it was 90% real. This is why I can't stomach Robert Rodriguez productions (where 10% is real and the rest is CG) They spent a couple of years putting a lot of love in post, that's for sure. Charlize Theron definitely hasn't pulled a Halle Berry-Marisa Tomei-Mira Sorvino with her Oscar yet. Her role was nomination worthy. I totally see her getting a nom for this (she won't win though).
  13. Two big-budget attempts have had minor to absolute middling results. I don't see anymore attempts to reboot this series now, unless they team with a group (Fox's X-men). Does Disney own the TV rights? I could see a TV series then, it's what should be on instead of AoS.
  14. Considering the landfill of of remainder DVDs & BluRays this is gonna yield if it's that bad. It's staggering how many TMNTs & ASM 2's they pressed that never sold at a lot of big box stores.
  15. Four Stars out of four. This was a unique vision that George Miller somehow maintained from the 80's, despite changing his main star. Tom Hardy gives us a "new" Max that he makes his own. Charlize Theron reminds us why she is an Oscar-winning actress by making the movie hers. The set pieces will give you anxiety watching them as they just continue to surprise one turn after the next. When Zoe Kravitz was pulled from the vehicle, my heart almost stopped. Main actors are put in mortal danger constantly and you realize you could lose them at any moment. Just like that. Roger Ebert, one of the biggest supporters of the Max films would have loved this movie. In my opinion, this movie doesn't surpass The Road Warrior so much as it becomes a worthy equal. Hopefully we can get another one.
  16. Indeed it is. The entire time I was watching this I was thinking "George Miller needs to direct that Cursed Earth Dredd sequel". Same here It's my favorite film of 2015 (so far ) Sounds like you three have great taste (you guys like Fury Road, Tom Brady, Dredd). Can't wait to watch it tomorrow. I can't tonight as I chasing around a beaver from Europe before the Pats game.
  17. You evil wood peeing man, you. I just took a whiz on a snowy egret and I feel good about it. Let me know how those bathroom lines are. (thumbs u
  18. Picked up my copy tonight (Best Buy). 90 minutes of Special Features!
  19. Jon Cryer would have made a great Jimmy Olsen He'll do well in NCIS... Didn't they already have a "Ducky" character on that show?
  20. Jon Cryer is staying with CBS, but moving on to NCIS. Hopefully, there is a guest spot for him at least on the show to offer redemption for his character from Quest For Peace.
  21. I really hope your including me in this, because I've supported her potential positive symbol of "gurl-power" since day one. Yeah, but you're a green lady. You're already accounted for. I keep forgetting to change that back to my original Fairpoint Bundle avatar.
