  1. Bingo! Latino Review mentioned that a few months back as a rumor picked up from a production member. More and more, it looks to be the lead-in to the need for a Justice League. what if it's not Since January, here are the three different articles that have noted this is most probably... ok here is my idea of what could happen since, i want to think outside the box. ...and thinking even more outside the box,
  2. The first 45 minutes was great when I originally watched it, but it seemed to collapse in on itself with the classic James Bond villain with a rocket at the end. Two out of four stars.
  3. and yet we are both going to watch it Eventually.
  4. Wow, she doesn't have a verified Facebook page? That sucks.
  5. She looks so brave and confident. This is so gonna work. (thumbs u
  6. Looks like The Rogue Cut is at Target on Blu Ray for $18 (in tax free NH) this Tuesday.
  7. Old Man Logan should be a movie that plays 10-20 years down the road for the actor. After funnybook movies lose their luster, it would probably be more appealing to have revisionist take on them, ala Unforgiven. Just my opinion.
  8. When he was younger (Can't Hardly Wait), I always thought he looked like Tom Cruise's younger brother.
  9. Yes, I don't think that came across the way it was intended! Let's hope we don't get the same with Cavill and Gadot I'm interested to see how she plays WW... I'm No, I think that's a legit concern with the live-action movie. Cavill was really wooden in Cold Light of Day around his leading lady and almost fell into the trap with his scenes with Adams in Man of Steel. Luckily, Gadot has a lot screen presence to balance stuff. My guess is she will have more chemistry with Affleck. I think they should have went slightly older and got Kerry Washington. Yes, Terri Hatcher was absolutely the best Lois Lane ever. Not only was she a sex-pot, but she had a thrown together look of a woman always on a the go to get a scoop (her hair looked like she just grabbed the end in a clump and snipped, lack of make-up, etc). Plus, her willingness for overly elaborate damsel-in-distress situations (to keep up with the Superman mythos) from producers was mostly tongue-in-cheek, since she really didn't rescuing in most of them. She definitely, was an underrated actress (too many magazine covers, made her look like a bimbo). Amy Adams girl-next-door is an interesting experiment, but I feel will run it's course by a third movie unless she can expand her character better and how many times is Superman gonna catch her falling in a movie? My
  10. I see what you mean. I've always liked Captain Marvel/Shazam but they tend to bring out his childishness more with the modern versions (particularly animated). He also doesn't appear to be as powerful as he used to... This guy used to give Superman a run for his money! Interesting that DC included him in the movie when he didn't feature in the original story. I thought the way Superman was acting around Wonder Woman was downright creepy too. 12. If it is anything like The Dark Knight Returns, this is going to be another DCAU hit. That will be just awesome!
  13. I'm gonna revisit it towards Halloween. I thought it was alright enough, not as good as most solo Batman projects Under The Red Hood or Son of Batman. Surprisingly violent too, which was refreshing for a distinct edginess (the fight at the blood bank, in which the color was muted out).
  14. I've been reading back through the thread... I was quite surprised when I saw War with only 1 and 1/2 stars! I take it you're not a big fan, NEG? I really liked it. Fast paced, action packed and well drawn/acted. The -script was OK and the rebooted characters seemed to gel better than in the comic. I preferred it to Throne of Atlantis. No Batman vs Dracula? It was the Shazam character, that destroyed it for me. He almost sunk Yhrone of Atlantis too. Ironically, I thought the idea of Shazam being a bunch of kids was the best idea in the whole movie. Yeah, I must have forgot to add Batman Vs. Dracula.
  15. It's truly and simply the best Marvel animated effort to date.
  16. Yeah, I just finished The Next Avengers. A bit juvenile, some rushed animation and the overall feeling that this was some kind of desperate pilot for an ongoing Saturday morning cartoon, but I liked the children characters and it had "moments". A reluctant thumbs down. Marvel Animated Movie Checklist: Big Hero 6**** Hulk Vs.*** Thor: Tales of Asgard** The Next Avengers** The Invincible Iron Man* The Ultimate Avengers Movie* Iron Man: Extremis" Avengers Confidential: Punisher & Black Widow1/2
  17. I wasn't kidding when I shared how much I enjoyed this pilot. I even agree with the 7/10 rating. It wasn't incredible. But it certainly was entertaining, and made me want to watch more. It sounds very entertaining! I'm looking forward to seeing it in October. There's still no UK air date though x infinity I'm hoping it'll be picked up by one of the satellite channels... if it's picked up by one of the "terrestrial" channels, I'll spend 9 months avoiding spoliers That would friggin' suck.
  18. Maybe they could get Tatiana Maslany to play the witch-woman Faye Dunaway played in the 80's opus. ... OOooo and get Jordan Gavaris, to play her sidekick that Brenda Vaccaro played. That would be like instant credibility. P.S. to the producers. Tatiana played one of the kidnappers of Vandervoort in "The Entitled" too. There's like a whole universe thing going on here in a six-degrees-of-gene-hackman way.
  19. After her performance in Whiplash, I think she's the real deal as an actress (and beautiful too). I can't wait to see what she does next besides Supergirl (think Christopher Reeve in "Deathtrap" or Val Kilmer in "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang"). I would love to see her do some gritty roles to avoid being typecast too.
  20. Try Superman Adventures 21, 29-30, 39 & 41. They are most age approriate and a little more modern too. Justice League Unlimited 7, 16 and especially 20 packs a lot great pre-teen girl power too. Enjoy!

  22. I felt too much King Kong pity for it to be scared, but "Ark in Space" and the Cybermen episode with the Cybermats, crawling & flying all over the place. Those got things started for nightmareland. Supergirl producers are reading this thinking, "Let's Mellissa a really long scarf and a robot dog, that shoots lasers".
  23. Nope it was on one PBS channel at 6:30 and another at 7:00pm. I believed it first premiered in September of 1981 in NH (Tom Baker's "Robot") and was off all PBS stations by 1989, not counting the FOX TV movie with Eric Roberts as the Master and the reboot. I was about six and hooked after the first episode.
