  1. I didn't hear any complaining about Wall-E doing this. Maybe Under The Skin.
  2. I remember that book now. I was going to buy it off of HighQualityComics. But I held off so NewEnglandGothic could consider it first for sexyghoul's collection. And what a beauty that turned out to be. sexyghoul collection funfact #299: A graded 9.8 funnybook of WWE's The Undertaker resides in the Crow section of her collection.
  3. Surprised, none of the film buffs haven't pointed this out yet. George Miller has been experimenting with this theme for thirty years, first with 'Thunderdome' (the whole Auntie character who is Thunderdome's Governor. Let's face it, Tina Turner didn't need another hero. The girl who led the rebellion with the Lord of the Flies), secondly with 'The Witches of Eastwick' and then with Babe (voice actress playing main character-RIP, the surrogate mother-dog, etc).
  4. +1,000,000 It was good, but certainty wasn't the masterpiece it was made out to be. People must really be bored with super hero movies by the praise this is getting. Once again it was good, but no way a 98 percent Rotten Tomatoes is giving it. Myself, this was the movie that has made me be tired of blockbuster movies. I had just done three weekends of back to back blockbusters with Furious 7, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Mad Max . As I was watching Mad Max I realized to myself that these movies are basically all the same smash ems ups like a video game. I rather play a video game than watch a video game. Once again Mad Max was a good movie, but no way is it great. I think it`s being praised because people are getting sick of superhero movies, and with Mad Max although is basically the same thing did have a R rating which some adults want. The adults want their action to be a little more violent than the generic family oriented movie. So yeah Mad Max a good movie, but it`s not something I would qualify as a masterpiece. Guardians of The Galaxy, Captain America: Winter Soldier, and X-Men: Days of Future Past were so much better. IMHO. Awesome new perspective on it's overall theme that probably mostly won over critics from a Concord, NH newspaper editor a little north of you. (thumbs u Mad Max's Allegory
  5. Sounds good! Thanks for the tip. Can't wait until Autumn... All I have to do is resist clicking the spoiler buttons.... I'm in the same boat. Haven't seen any of the previews either. I'm just reading the spoiler-less reviews as best as I can.
  6. I voted and voiced why I voted the way I did. Hope, I didn't lose a friend in doing so. As it's my personal opinion alone and not made for any other's benefit.
  7. +1 I think just not WWZ2,but a lot of these blockbusters are redbox rentals at best. I think Hollywood's going to be in for a surprise at the box office this summer. I'll definitely rent it, but I've been too tired of souless spectacles in theaters myself. I too see a decline in domestic attendance, but these types of movies tend to clean-up overseas, so there's still gonna be somewhat of a demand for a Transformers/Godzilla/etc movie.
  8. She was good in Oblivion. Was she Tom Cruise's "wife"? I thought she was pretty good.
  9. OK, I'm dying to watch this movie on Blu Ray!
  10. Let's give the director of Pitch Perfect 2 credit for being a Spider-Man movie alumni (Betty Brant) to survive the first franchise. Although I'll remember her more for Wet Hot American Summer, with her scenes with Antman.
  11. Time to stop ignoring her friend requests... But seriously, you would think Katy Perry would take a hint.
  12. Awesome! Special thanks to CBS, for cancelling the torture-porn like 'Stalker'* tonight to make room for actually uplifting television shows. I give Criminal Minds a minor pass because a lady is in charge of a lot of the writing.
  13. The costume looks a lot better in 'normal' light. Time to go 'friend' Melissa on Facebook.
  14. Walmart is selling The Road Warrior and Thunderdome on DVD for $5 each. I'm waiting for the Betamax version. Well, I figured better than pan & scan, but it has that as an option too.
  15. Walmart is selling The Road Warrior and Thunderdome on DVD for $5 each.
  16. Looks like the cast of Pitch Perfect 2 pitch-slapped Max at the box-office. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/news/?id=4061&p=.htm
  17. Long time reader, first time poster. I was grading Nancy Drew: Girl Detectives (a modern) a while back, which are basically trade digests, and they only showed their different impression numbers to show what printing they were on. I only bothered with first impression ones first, but I was wondering if CGC would acknowledge a sixth impression as a first print, if it doesn't actually state "First Printing" or any other one. I called once (a few of years ago, but the lady had no idea what I was talking about and immediately dismissed me). Thanks.
  18. I voted no, myself. I've had a couple trades graded before. Thought it was silly doing it. The inner wells really don't support them anyway. They start bending and might scuff the cover or worse that might void the grade (I noticed this with the Locke & Key: Welcome to Lovecraft one-took pics too). I'm surprised R&D never did shock tests (mail deliveries, accidentally drops, etc). I opened the one I had done, but never mailed in the label. Maybe Monday. Silly, I tell you.
  19. I prefer the original. I actually prefer #12 of 13. Harley looks more like a dangerous character than a clown. Were there really issues with #9 containing Daisey Dukes Harley? No Mia Sara version?
  20. 146,000. It was the #1 book the month it came out. That being said I always pick them up when I see them for $2 or less and don't have any trouble selling them. There are 3 covers for this btw. Also, you may want to look at #10 because that is when she first wears the costume. Picked up a copy for $3 at my LCS for a boardie on here that liked the animated movie Apocalypse. I don't see much of an uptick myself. I thought she first donned the costume in #13?
