  1. The only movie that comes to mind that I last saw her in was "Ruthless People" in '86. Has twenty-nine years went by that quickly.
  2. Animated Supergirl's look was different and didn't me off. Michael Turner's look was different and didn't me off. It was implied in Captain America: Winter Soldier, Scarlet Witch was a captive and mentally tortured young adult (sorry, I guess you didn't watch it yet), so I can buy the angry goth gurl look as it lends to plot somewhat (like the red Starfleet uniforms introduced in Wrath of Khan as the tone became more military). I think everyone on here has right to doubt, when a costume faux-pas (Captain America's in The Avengers) takes away from the impact of one of their favorite characters. Melissa Benoist dominated her small part in Whiplash, and is more than capable of playing a girl od steel, but in that gender flipped Man of Steel outfit, it's gonna be a uphill battle. I think she desrved something that she could have made her own.
  3. That is exactly who I picture when someone mentions a live version of Supergirl. Let us all go on Louise Mingenbach's Facebook page and personally thank her for introducing us to Superman's now signature muted colored costume and over textured fabric she brought to us in Superman Returns. We should also thank Colleen Atwood on her twitter page for not bringing anything new to the sewing machine in nine years.
  4. I don't want Supergirl to look like a teenage whore... :: -slym ( ) It's called "cheerleader chic" ... They got the top of the costume almost right. Love how the cape blends in the scoop neck, the "S" emblem is different enough and the the red line of threads outlining her chest was a neat touch for an athletic look, but there's so much stuff uneven about it it too. Yes, it should have been a cropped top, like the animated Supergirl and Turner version. If the actress was shy, she could have did what Taylor Swift does and cover her belly button with red or gold trim or something. It adds a kind of empowerment of seduction to her powers and because she's pretty much invulnerable, it doesn't hurt if she shows a little skin. Plus, it would have took off five years off the actress's age, . Yes, that one piece makes her look about thirty-something. Her sleeves should be longer with red or gold bracelets/trim at the end of them too. Myself, I prefer short sleeves, but Turner's long sleeve costume really worked in blue. Like before, I think Turner really did great with the cape's design of being so long, I like a short cape myself on one of these femal heroes, but it can look campy. If the cape was longer, she might have pulled off the awful skirt design. The skirt is definitely lifeless and the worst material choice. But, don't get me started on those boots. I'm sorry if I'm going all Blackwell on this, but this is a disaster for a fan of the character who was actually excited for this show, to see this cheesy uniform on this actress.
  5. I'm sorry if anyone thinks this looks great, but by her face, she just looks like she doesn't want to be doing this. Possibly even in pain. I actually feel bad for her, if she doing this to get a couple of independent movies greenlit or something.
  6. It's a little plain and dull... needs to be brighter. Still, it could have been worse. It's nice to see a return to the proper 'S' even if it doesn't have the yellow background. Supergirl's hair though... IT SHOULD BE BRIGHT BLONDE!!!! Someone please tell me there's a bottle of peroxide somewhere on the set... I hate it! I agree it needs to be brighter. Cape needs to be shorter or longer. The fabric is to latexy like in those superhero pornos out there ( ). I think the knees on those boots are gonna be distracting too. I can live with her hair color, but a smile wouldn't hurt. Did I say I hated it?
  7. That doesn't really stop Samuel L. Jackson from appearing in 50 movies and commercials a year though.
  8. I bet you really wish you rented The Maze Runner now, instead of ASM 2.
  9. Emma Samms Sounds great! I think I'm going to break out my DVDs... Now, if I can only remember how to set my player to "full screen" mode Teri Hatcher would not appreciate being widened, I'm sure...
  10. Bought the first three seasons of Lois & Clark at a dollar store today (20% off too ). I remember watching that show in '93 (my HS senior year), just grateful there was something from a funnybook on. That was the good 'ol days. Yes... Good old days And definitely an entertaining show. The first two seasons were the best, then it started going downhill a bit. It got a bit too silly. Still I guess WB had to lower the viewer's expectations in preparation for that Clooney film... I just watched the second season's first episode on the TV, it was like 1994 all over again. Fullscreen tv image, Emma Samms, overlit sets. I loved it!
  11. PM me the number, I give him a ring. I just have to remember my R's when talking, dang Yankee accent.
  12. Thanks for the tip but I'll pass... I'm surprised she doesn't do it more often. After all, the cold never bothered her anyway... OK, I'll let it go. (thumbs u

  14. Exactly! In TV land thirty-somethings play the parents of twenty-somethings all the time. And I never knew Elsa was in a Glee! I might have to start watching it... ...But if you are an Elsa die-hard and want to see her nekkid, watch...
  15. I've never watched an episode Glee, But, I know no one ever complained about Idina Menzel playing Lea Michelle's mom on that show, when they had a 10-13 year age difference.
  16. I also order my copies from him, been out of town so hopefully they are at my po box Yup, he's a great seller! (thumbs u I received the 5 SG phantoms I ordered from him, Tuesday. 4 of the 5 are really nice. The 5th one has a hole-small tear on the back cover. I'm pretty certain it is production damage, and not from shipping. Pretty bummed about it, but not worth the time to ask for anything back, plus, I got these at the original $13 price tag. only 2,999 Phantoms left above VG Here's a thread I created a while back of me traveling to his shop (Yeah, I'm ugly ). http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=203621&Number=4300765#Post4300765 So far, the nicest person behind a LCS counter I've ever met.
  17. Fresh off the busted series Taxi Brookyln (she wasn't too bad in it). Still have fond memories of her nerdy role in "Not Another Teen Movie" with Chris Evans.

  19. Probably making Harrison Ford less of a square.
  20. Although not a comic, the BBC show "The Misfits" was definitely funnybook inspired like Heroes or The Greatest American Hero. ...and to a similiar extent "The Misfits of Science".
  21. What about the old Tracy movies and TV show. That Anne Jefferys was a real babe back then.
  22. Can we say Jason Fuchs on here? Yeah, I wasn't overly impressed when I heard he was the screenwriter of WW, when the dj of KISS 108 announced it (I guess he's dating Matty's daughter or something). I was hoping for more of a female voice, than the dude who wrote Ice Age: Continental Drift. My
