  1. I was not paying attention that small title but focused on Captain Marvel instead.
  2. Nice book! I bought 4.5 copy from Terry's Comics in late 2020 in Wisconsin (first small con was opened during COVID pandemic). It was $60 something. 3.0 for $312? It's nice to know!
  3. I have seen many high grade books with a small crease on one corner. 8.5 is pretty common with one small crease.
  4. That is what I am afraid of. It's hard to trust CGC. Their graders notes are inconsistent for a long time. My last submission was June 2023. Got 8 books back with 6 SAME grader notes. Grader Notes: light bends to cover light creasing to cover light spine stress lines to cover I looked at 6 books. All defects are different on my books but why did I get the SAME notes for all 6 books? That's my major concern about their inconsistent notes.
  5. My heart was almost sank. You should thank those Jerks for keeping this thread alive.
  6. I remembered his fantastic illustrations in those books that I spent hours at my local library during my summertime while I was still in the public schools. My understanding is that he lived in Australia and drew for the pulps and magazines exclusively. I do see him doing for the comic books occasionally but he never drew any superhero characters. He seemed that he preferred to do the illustrations of adventures, mysteries and fantasies that were for the adults. I tried to read that articles but it's hard to read. Despite he turned it down on the offer for drawing the superman, I guessed that he didn't want to do anything with the ideas of developing the superheroes that may be for the children. That was not his style. He said it was crazy to draw the superman. I don't blame him for not changing his style.
  7. Same thing. We can't hide any post anymore.
  8. All unwanted books of mine were sold to MCS. I didn't care about them if the big differences in grading. Only 10% of my grades were matched (some grades were better than mine). Any valuable books were undergraded severely by MCS were returned back to me rather than selling them cheap to MCS. I always graded all unwanted books at GD. They will give them the better grades by 2 to 4 points.
  9. Same thing for my dad's parents. They didn't have a good ending either. It's hard to believe they were gone over 50 years ago too.
  10. You sound better than my late grandmother. I don't feel you are helpless but I felt helpless to watch my beloved grandmother bedridden and crying. That was 20 years difference. It's amazing how lucky people included my parents (both are 83) have advantage of the medical technology today.
  11. I looked at the history of the submission. Somehow, it's there so I clicked it then it opened with the invoices that are ready to be printed. Just weird but it worked.
