  1. Alright, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (Original Miniseries, Maximum Press 1995) ISSUE 2, Page 5 If posting this here helps, then it's worth it in spades. Finding this page literally settles a wager, so if anyone can help out, I'd be grateful. Pic is the page as published, as well as a quick Photoshop mockup of what it might look like. Andrew
  2. The story I get from Angel is he doesn't recall where this piece went to. Hope it shows up somewhere. To look at it, I'm not entirely sure if it was created as a single page; or if the test-tube thingie in the BG might be on a seperate page, or even a Photoshop effect. Any opinions or suggestions welcome.
  3. I'm going to this with a compilation of all the MICRONAUTS pages I've posted in the 'Official Does Anyone Know Where This Art Is' thread... Located THIS one, would love to purchase... ...and the Broderick page on the Right has also likely been located. Would love to own either in the below image, of course. Need this one to complete a book...$$$
  4. Always happy to this thread! Here's a Golden page from MICRONAUTS #2 that sold years back on Heritage for a song. HA had it set up with a 'Make Offer to Owner' for awhile, tried it out but got ::crickets:: and now the option is gone (has HA pulled the service entirely? I recall some rumblings that it might have been Beta and no-one got any positive results from it anyway) Anyway, a nice enough story beat page (though no Micros present) Would love to own!
  5. Not entirely certain but I think it was this... I recall flying back from a Mid-Ohio Con, worried that the page would get creased; as, not planning on buying anything over the size of a trading card, I had no way to protect it (yet...) Obviously, worked out OK.
  6. Only about once a year, and i think I've had my annual OMG. Still open to another, but my stuff comes out far and in-between.
  7. They're an UltraPro product, so you could order direct from them as well... but I usually have used these guys: http://www.the2buds.com/surspct.htm Andrew
  8. Hello all, At the moment, here's the two most-desired pieces I'm on the lookout for: http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=626663&GSub=78983 Of course, possibly interested in other Micronauts pages, too. Case-by-case, LMK. Here's a link to my greater CAF site, filled with other Micronauts pages as well as Galactica and a few other things. http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=27108 Best, Andrew
  9. Not much to speak of in my collection this week, only this splash page from ROM, Spaceknight: http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=988091
  10. I have a contact who suggests the art was done by Entombed drummer Nicke Andersson himself. Is that likely? EDIT TO ADD: From Wiki: 'He has also done work as a producer as well as artwork for most the bands he has been involved with.' So I suppose it is possible. You'll have to do a little research of album art he might have done, and see if the styles match. AcA
  11. Until I have as many posts as Andrew here, I think I'll always be 'The Other Andrew' , eh? Changed up my sig to include another Baron Karza splash page I'm on the lookout for: Andrew
  12. I usually don't post on this thread, but... Chris Batista - SPACEKNIGHTS miniseries (2000 and reprinted last year) ...with a few more on the way.
  13. Well, you could eliminate or confirm Devries by contacting him through his Wsite... http://www.davedevries.com/ (And finding out the email address he uses for the site is reason enough to go there and look around...) Andrew EDIT TO ADD: I think I'm going to change my vote to Glenn Fabry:
  14. I'm with LB - that could be Dave Devries...or another artist who did work for Skybox/Fleer. Really looks a lot like the art that was done for Marvel Trading Cards back in the day. I'll have to drag out my cards and take a look. AcA
  15. While I haven't posted a large image of this page in this thread, you all have seen my sig line for years, so you're all probably aware of my desire for THIS piece: Well, after years of grousing, I got a bee in my bonnet and spent the weekend in frenzied online research and digging. After following a fairly epic trail of internet bread crumbs, (and much to my surprise), the owner of the page HAS BEEN FOUND. Unfortunately... well, lets just say the Hard Part starts now. But, good to know after all this time. Maybe I should get around to changing up my sig with a different piece. Andrew
  16. I worry that you guys are going to get sick of me eventually... "Yes, yes, yes.. we get it, you like the MICRONAUTS." Here's the art for a fairly-rare Micros ad piece, Marvel had relaunched the title as one of it's three test run direct-sales titles (Along with MOON KNIGHT and KA-ZAR); a radical idea at the time! This page sold on Heritage in '04. Art and storytelling had fumbled about for a year or two, until they hired Butch Guice for his first gig, (and brought back the Baron as an every-issue baddie) and the title stabilized into a fan-favorite.
  17. Here's a Simonson BATTLESTAR GALACTICA page (Issue 13 pg 27) that I know isn't owned by Simonson, the Donelley's had it most recently, but I think it's sold now.
  18. Details of this scan suggest that this is not the Original Art for this Micronauts/Baron Karza pinup, but a completely uncolored published version, most likely from a Marvel UK publication. It does suggest strongly what the piece might look like today, should it still exist.
  19. I'd support this thread being sticky-fied, (not surprising since I've contributed heavily to it) but the mods seem to be stingy with their sticky selections. But... I get it... BB's are not a democracy. Andrew
  20. First time for this thread actually locating a piece? Hope springs eternal! Andrew
  21. I certainly wouldn't say 'NO' to some sweet artwork from First Comic's Dynamo Joe... A fondly-remembered short series whose art is (like Star Blazers I've mentioned elsewhere on this thread) almost completely MIA. Manga art fans keeping it close to the vest. (There's rumblings that Joe might be making a reappearance, so maybe some chances at newer artwork in the future...) Pencils: Doug Rice
  22. I just wanted to note that that WWbN cover is a complete masterpiece of composition. Really impressive depth in a way that isn't done these days. I don't collect horror, but it seems a lot of the old Marvel Horror covers were cleverly constructed like that. (thumbs u Whoever owns that one has a keeper on their hands. AcA
  23. I'll keep posting to this baby. I'm shameless like that. Here's a puzzler - at least to me. Comico did 9 issues (in 2 miniseries) of 'Star Blazers' way back in the day. Pages for this run are completely MIA. Not sure why, it's possible anime/manga fans don't interact much with the rest of the OA crowd, or they just hold onto their pages with a more sustained passion. Or maybe a lot of the pages went to Japan and there's a language barrier. 1st Series: Doug Rice (Penciller) Mike Chen (Inker) 2nd Series: Harrison Fong (Penciller) Bill Anderson (Inker) ...and a few more:
