  1. I saw this listing last night and I had to stop and look at the bid price a couple times. What is so special about this book that it commands $50+?

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/BATMAN-HARLEY-QUINN-1-1ST-PRINT-ALEX-ROSS-JOKER-/300738083816?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item460562fbe8

In competition with Batman Adventures #12 as 1st appearance of Harley Quinn in DC continuity. Apparently Batman Adventures #12 doesn't count because it's based of the cartoon. (shrug)

i believe there is a 2d print of this as well, so folks need to be careful.

If there's a second print, I've never seen it. There are 3 prints of the Batman Adventures Mad Love book but I don't think so on the Ross book.

  2. Any books showing heat have been picked clean around here.

    My only consolation.......

i'm still pulling these "icecubes" for cover price.

    Photobucket

I posted it earlier but I his a LCS in Charleston last week and it had AT LEAST 40 copies of #2 first prints on the shelf......maybe more.

  3. Ummm, wow, check out this auction so far. I think this is pretty high for these discount bin books. Loved reading these as a kid.

I think it's a tough set to complete, and usually fetches a strong price when a complete set surfaces. Or I could be mistaken...

It is a tough set, but that price for only 24 issues is hilarious. 39-41 were very tough to find. 42 was alot easier I see them all the time.

That bidder is just ignorant. Issues 1-20 are on there with a $25 BIN, 1-42 For $125, And 1-23 28-31 Plus other misc Warlock stuff for $35. Just stupid.

  4. it seems i get stuck with that all the time

i think you can block zero feedback bidders (or maybe you used to be able to?)

You can't. The highest feedback you can block is -1. You can also block bidders who have 2 or more unpaid item strikes in the last month but that's it. No more zero blockage. You can, however, cancel their bids and add them to your blocked bidder list (which is what I generally do if they look untrustworthy).

  5. I found these two beauts today at a local flea market. The Thanos Quest cost me $2 and the last issue of GI Joe was a whopping 50 cents. Best part was that I totally missed the 50 cent boxes and the guy told me " I got some 50 cent boxes under the table over there but most of it is no count." I don't know if that is a southern-only expression but it means nothing is any good in there. I also pulled a GI Joe 144, 145, and 150 out plus a Moby Duck 19, and Infinity Gauntlet 5. I called my buddy who is a Joe collector and he immediately offered me $45 for the 155 and I took it. I know they're generally more on ebay but he's a friend! :gossip: I even told him what I paid

  6. I drove 30 minutes to a nearby town with 2 comic shops as my 2 locals are completely wiped out (and not by me). Shop 1 puts all recent issues in $1 boxes after 3 months or so. I pulled 6 copies of WD 93, WD 94, 2 Hell Yeah 1, and a Fatale 2 out. Shop 2 yielded nada except 5 copies of Hardcore. Tomorrow is 30 minutes in the other direction!

  7. Put together this box of mostly Transformers today at a garage sale. Some have missing or broken pieces but for a quarter each I wasn't inspecting anything too close. I was basically just grabbing from miscellaneous boxes and making a full one for stuff I wanted. I am way too old and way to uneducated to even begin how to transform them or try to pretend I know who 99% of them are. Thankfully, there are ID sites for pretty much all toy lines now so it may be time consuming, but I'll find out all their names.
