  1. i'm trying to get it sold for you; sent the link to a larson-lookin' boardie. What did old Lamont look like, anyway? I found this online: Great photo. Looks like the book didn't quite come home for you. The winner got a good deal, imho. The winner got a great deal and I'm happy for them.

  5. 6-7 figure book = 100,000.00 to 1,000,000.00 OMG

  7. I'm selling a few Strange Tales... http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=8126639#Post8126639
  8. I'll be listing several books later today .... a werewolf, death himself and a tale or two from the crypt... some strange tales lay ahead....
  9. He bought 1 book. I bought 11 I'm genuinely sorry to hear that - and I'm clear that his willingness to ignore your comments is an augury of much more. Has that problem settled? Were you able to get in touch with the seller? Yes. The seller was extremely polite and apologetic and went out of his way to make things right.
  10. For a motto, I would go with something a bit more clear. It should have read: Go ugly early before the good ugly's gone.
  11. It happened to me - I sold Caleb (Supernerd) an old PCH book that I had - Mystic 25 "A Fella Needs A Zombie" and another boardie noticed some CT on the upper spine that I didn't even know existed and I immediately contacted Caleb and cancelled the transaction. Caleb immediately said thanks and it was over and done with. Sh** can happen, and often does, but its the willful concealment and misrepresentation coupled with an unwillingness to act appropriately that gets someone in trouble.

  13. ... and for the record.... there have been times here that I've made the mistake of purchasing an ugly looking book .... but I'm not ok with the purchase where there's concealment and misrepresentation of its true state i.e the torn interior pages, the pressing, the interior stains, etc... My new motto: Go ugly early before the good ugly's gone!!
  14. My communications are just over the past few days.... and I can wait.... but let's be honest... he was communicative when he invoiced and the money needed to be sent - and the rules for buyers are within 30 days.... so if a book is totally misrepresented by a seller and the buyer isn't wiling to put up with the behavior/ pattern... what say you?
  15. He knows. I purchased 11 Early SA World's Finest from him about a month ago. I was not happy with the grading but I took the responsibility since I did not ask for scans. I explained in detail how his grades were off and that he needs to tighten up if he is going to sell here. I received no reply. He knows and has continued. An ugly book I can deal with - but not telling the truth on its interior or water damage or pressing or... well, that's just total BS. ... and the ignoring... there's a pattern here....
  16. Yes. By PM (2x), by telephone (1 VM) and an email to their personal email account. No responses yet.
  17. Another issue I have is that the pages on the interior are ripped and stained and there appears to have been something going on with the FC (see interior cover scan) and the book really looks as if it has been pressed (and I don't have a problem with pressing - just disclose it). To me its a bit of concealment and misrepresentation. The real issue is that upon receiving it (after it got lost for a day) I contacted the seller immediately and he simply read my pm and chose not to respond. Additionally I've sent him another note and he has yet to read it.
  18. I forgot the interior of the FC.... and what happens when a book is improperly pressed with water damage....
  19. Interior page: Another interior page: Yet another - but look at the interesting pattern - could it be pressed? Hmmm. Stay tuned Bat-fans... Is it possible....Batman has to face the press and not the media?? A chip off the old block.... we didn't see this one coming.... Feel the love for my pal... he's so strong he can make the top BC curl from his photograph!! Watch him again.... More..... stay tuned....
  20. I was thinking the same thing (when I saw the first listing), but then people were buying them up faster than he could list them and at decent prices, too. Everything looks nice on a 4" iPhone screen. Totally over-graded. I bought the Bat 121 and feel totally duped. I'll post a few pictures that weren't in the listing. Did it look like a 7.0 to you in the pictures that he did post? I have trouble seeing because of my diabetes - and let me post a few pictures as well.
