  1. Just sub it and see what happens. The worst case is that they upgrade you to the next tier. Most of the time, they let books like that slide.
  2. Savage Dragon is still going at #188 although I don't know too many people who read it. There's another Image book, Elephant Men that's on #47.
  3. Maybe this series will be one of those exceptions where the 2nd prints become more desirable than the first prints on the secondary market. They have tiny print runs and MUCH better covers by the interior artist/co-creator of Madder.
  4. It still beats the hell out of waiting 5 months for the slow track.
  5. Anyone wondering why the escape variant is a little tougher must not have seen the people wiping blood, sweat, and fake zombie blood all over them on the way out. People were rolling them up, fanning themselves with them, etc. I actually grabbed one off the top of a trash can and then put it back after seeing the back cover.
  6. Sort of off topic but do you remember the delays with Battle Chasers? I think it was something like 18 months between issue 6 and 7! Yeah, I think Nonplayer might have the delay record IF #2 ever comes out.
  7. Good commission choice! Looks great.
  8. Looks like #3 came out 1/30. 38 days is considered a delay now? Pretty sure the readership can handle the extra week or two.
  9. Ha! You're welcome. Is there a stigma against all variants or just the lame 52 flags kind of stuff. Just when it goes overboard IMO. Bedlam #1 is a good example - there are like 6 first prints, a second print and some BS 'Limited Edition' that Larry's released a bit later at $60 or so. It's absolutely one of my favorite books, but the collectibility is held back a little by the oversaturation. Saga #1 is a good example of a perfect variant situation - a super-limited edition of 500 RRP, the regular issue and then the later prints. I like the way you're doing the second prints of Todd as true variants though, riffing on the first print covers, but with major changes.
  10. It's a pinup of Karen in a "Science is the New Rock 'n Roll" t-shirt.
  11. Talked to Jim McCan about this today. Like many new image books, its a mini that will turn into an ongoing or a series of minis if it sells. It's not a planned one and done mini.
  12. Matt that Prophet DPS is intense! I really need to read that book.
  13. Hey Andy, ever seen 'Wake in Fright' aka 'Outback'? Curious to hear a real Aussie's take on it. Crazy movie.
  14. The first one should be able to pull 600-700. They are NOT easy.
  15. I have 0 clue what a binary tear is, having never seen 1.
  16. Here's something pretty cool I picked up last month. This is page one of Nowhere Men, featuring the first appearance of all four scientists. Even cooler, the top right panel is the only existing OA for the Thought Bubble cover. According to Nate, Fono created the TB cover digitally, altering the figures from that panel for use as the slhouettes.
  17. Where at ? In Philly? Nah. Not in Philly. I drove down to Delaware today. That's my LCS you got them from! Pretty cool shop.
  18. 'RRP' originally came from DC's retailer roundtable program, but it's become a catchall phrase for any book given out at retailer events.
  19. So Madder Red being my favorite new villain of 2012, I was excited to commission another great Image artist's interpretation of the character. Thanks to Court, here's Tyler Jenkins' take on Bedlam: By the way, he completed this in under a week. I think the fastest comic art commission turnaround I've had previously was close to 2 months.
  20. It will be open til I get an apology
  21. Nice. I was in the process of buying #1 when one of Nate's family members decide to claim it (can't blame him for that). When I replied, you had already grabbed #2. Nice job - it looks great.
  22. Yeah, that makes me wonder if the virus spreads person to person or if it was specifically introduced to the atmosphere of the space station (the reporter contracted it from the wreckage). It would be cool to have the reporter as one rogue superpowered character not from the main group, rather than the start of a worldwide superpower outbreak, which might be overkill.
  23. All of my 8s have it and all of my Peter Panzerfaust 9s have it in the exact same spot. Must be something going on with Image's printer.
  24. Not really sure what your point is or if you even have one. Just because something isn't going away doesn't make it ok or mean that I have to feel awesome about it. I felt so embarrassed in the Todd thread when people were asking Ken what the print run was and then basically rejoicing at how low it was. YUS! YOU'RE MAKING F ALL FROM YOUR COMIC BUT AT LEAST I CAN FLIP IT FOR PROFIT ON EBAY! How is that in any way decent behaviour? Sorry, my bead art isn't quite as good as yours yet.
