  1. That's very cool on the Warburton signing (thumbs u
  2. That is awesome man!!!! It would be sweet if Gene Wilder would do one of those shoqs. He's also getting up there in age too.
  3. I can't say with certainty, but I would guess you are likely to get blurry scans of slabbed books. It isn't the size that's the problem with most current scanners, it's the scanning technology they use. There is a discussion of this point earlier in this thread. Thank you for the help here
  4. Has anyone tried the Epson wf-7610 or wf-7620 for scanning CGC slabbed books? I need a new printer and saw those two at Staples. I of course didn't have a CGC book with me, but those two were very wide and long. Thanks guy!
  5. That's one of the ones on the list, but be careful it's not been tested AND does not have the AC adaptor. They might still sell the adaptors on Amazon, but I'd check before buying one unless you have an old one that will fit. I got an 8300 on eBay shipped with an adaptor and tested for about $70. Thank you for your advice!
  6. Is this the HP 8250 that many of you guys have here? Just making sure before buying one for CGC books. Thanks guys! http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-Scanjet-8250-Flatbed-Scanner-SNPRB-0201-/321052546739?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ac03916b3
  7. You mean a copy that they're willing to sell? Or just a high-grade copy? About 85% of my magazine issues of Mad are high-grade, from #24 up to about #300. Yes, I'm looking to buy a high grade copy.
  8. I thought I would get a better response here than the b/s/t forum. Does anyone here have a nice high grade copy of Mad #180?
  9. Goldeneye your sketches look great man. I love that Woder Woman sketch
  10. I finally got the grades on my books from Heroes Con in Charlotte back in June. The grades overall are good I guess but I'm disappoInted with a few of them. I will post first what I thought they would grade, then the grade CGC gave them. Amazing Spiderman 36 v2 9.6/9.8 Ultimate Fantastic Four 21 (variant cover) 9.6/9.8 Vengeance of Bane 1 9.2/9.4 Batman 497 9.8 SS Subs Crisis on Infinite Earths 8 SS by Perez 9.6 (bought CGC slabbed at 9.6) Captain America 25 (McGuinness variant) SS by McGuinness, Vines, Epting 9.8 (bought CGC slabbed at 9.8) Batman 400 SS by Wrightson, Perez, Senkewicz 9.6 (bought CGC slabbed at 9.6) Avengers 1 Thonos sketch by Perez 9.6/9.8 Vampirella 34 SS by Wrightson 9.0 Tales of the Zombie 9 SS by Thomas, Norem 9.0 CGC Grades Amazing Spiderman 36 v2 9.6 Ultimate Fantastic Four 21 (variant cover) 9.6 Vengeance of Bane 1 9.2 Batman 497 9.8 SS Subs Crisis on Infinite Earths 8 SS by Perez 9.6 Captain America 25 (McGuinness variant) SS by McGuinness, Vines, Epting 9.6 Batman 400 SS by Wrightson, Perez, Senkewicz 9.4 Avengers 1 Thanos sketch by Perez 9.4 Vampirella 34 SS by Wrightson 9.2 Tales of the Zombie 9 SS by Thomas, Norem 8.5 This is the first time I have received lower grades on books that were already graded before by CGC. I guess we as collectors all go through this at some point or other when submitting, but man it sucks. A few notes on the books I sent, the Vengeance of Bane was a Christmas gift one year from my parents so I wanted to get it graded just for that reason. I knew it was not going to be a super high grade book. Also, the TOTZ was bought raw off of ebay. It was listed as 9.2 by the seller. I'm still a little new to the CGC grading game but like I said, I guess overall I did ok. I will post photos when the books come in along with a few other CGC books I've gotten back recently. Thanks guys
  11. I finally received a few books back from CGC. I want to give a big thank you to Sean at NY Comics for helping me get these signed. Vampirella #9 CGC 9.4 signed by Boris Vallejo [/img] [/img] Tales of the Zombie #2 CGC 9.2 signed by Boris Vallejo and John Romita Sr [/img] [/img
  12. Wow Naits, that's an amazing haul man Show us those Perez sketches when you get them back too.
  13. I love those old Tales From The Crypt comics. That one looks amazing man.
