The following book isn't mine, it's a friends who recently sent me a scan. He says it's the nicest one he's ever seen....I agree, and I pay attention to all copies of this book I see, it's one of my all time favorites. My friend says he wants to learn how to post scans, he has some knockout books, let's hope he learns soon! So check this baby out ...

Another great story back when Lana Lang was the busy body next door neighbor.
Also her second appearance overall and first cover appearance. They changed her looks quite a bit from those orginal appearances

I only have the first 2 issues
There were only 3 issues, in order they came out 4, 1 and 2. You have the last two issues (as do I)
-
Finally, Showgirls #2
You beat me to posting a Showgirls #2, do you have a #4?
-
Just received this nice Detective.
And people make fun of the Superman titles ...

Thanks, I'm thinking it is an 8.5 or 9.0 because of the slight blunting of the top left corner and a few non-color breaking stress marks on the spine. Pages are off-white also.
I would buy 10 centers I need in that shape all day long ...

is your Archie collection complete? What are you missing?

Anyone have an idea of what the FMV of a slabbed 9.4 HOM 175 is/should be? I wonder what I should offer this guy if i call him. $800 is too low??
There's only one HOM #175 in 9.4...and that is in Joe Serpico's collection. That would only be double what he paid.
I owned the Oakland HOM 175 which is a 9.4/9.6 book (RAW). I traded it to someone that still has it. Yes, in retrospect, it was a bad trade.

That 100 is really nice!

I got these two in the mail today, they were an even $10 each with shipping off eBay. I am please with the condition, as both have tough black covers.
Nice pickup on that 118, not an easy copy to get in nice shape.

My friend used to go to that comic book store, the owner is a total whack job.

Great stuff, Silver!
Are these all recent acquisitions, or books you've had for a while?
Very recent
They also put a nice dent in my Superman want list. I am 13 away from 100-200 complete.

Let's breath some life back into this forum. Here are a few recent acquisitions:
-
1986 San Diego Comic Con, my first time there. Saw a Sugar and Spike #1 in NM (no kidding) for $400. The only book I ever regretted NOT buying! Now books I have sold....I regret all of them!

A promo comic, I guess very rare since Ian decided to put it in the photo.
Rare beyond all sanity.
What's the story on that one Ian? The guide says it's worth 3 bucks

Adam,
I have never seen another myself. I have seen many of some of the other pacs (including the 1962 ones!) but not this one. It's the reason I haven't popped it open yet
