  1. I watched it over the weekend. I didn't read the comics. I thought it was good. A bit confusing at times, but still very good.

  3. Had a great time at the show! This is always my favorite show of the convention year. Thank you to Peter for continuing to put this show together. Can't wait for next year.
  4. It's just a combination of defects. It had a hard life of entertaining children. I like it as is, it was a Christmas gift from my brother years ago.
  5. We are in the Age of the "Couch Potato Collector". It's going to be available within 15 minutes via the internet or a few phone calls. We constantly get calls at the shop "to go look for....". Most of the time it's the hot book of the week/ key collector back issue of the week/ Omnibus/hardcover that just sold for big $$ on ebay. I would love to go back to the days of Comic Shops and Conventions and having to dig. That's what made the hobby fun.
  6. New show, part of Cowtown Comic Con out of the Ft. Worth Area. It will be at Choctaw Casino February 24 & 25 2024. More info to come.
  7. With Comiclink, I've settled into an area where my sales are under-performing, and the books I'm bidding on are over-performing.....
  8. Personal collection. Has Steve and Bucky on many panels, has Cap and Bucky in costume on back of page.
  9. Part personal collection, part inventory. The ASM 1 was missing the pin up page and has since sold. The AF15 is just the cover and the spidey pages. There is no telling what was going through the person's head when they cut that book up...... The AF15 is a keeper until another one walks into the shop.
  10. That is just plain bad. Especially seeing that people are getting straight econs back in less than 10 business days. I don't understand how the concept of first in/first out can be that broken with Economy level. I understand that they are working on a volume of books that people probably can't fully imagine, but they've been doing this for 20 years. They have had 20 years to get a process going and it still seems they have to "reinvent the wheel" every few years.
  11. received 5/23/23 shipped 6/27/23 Delivered to my shop the day that Fan expo Denver starts. I guess I should've sent in regular economy, and I'd have the inventory for the show.
  12. but my sig series books go through Agents of slabs. They are not processed yet and added to my invoice list.
  13. And regular economy! Makes ya feel awesome for having fast track economy subs sitting. First in, first out at it's finest!
  14. Have you called to see what the issue is? What were they able to tell you? Hopefully they have been able to refund the fast track fees at least.
  15. So I called customer service and they seem to still stand behind the excuse that everything is being held up in encapsulation. When I asked why non fast track moderns are averaging under 10 days on a 20 day tat, and FT econs are exceeding tat and they use the same size slab, she couldn't comment. All I can figure is that they don't have a way to allocate the resources to even out the modern/economy/standard & walkthru use of the encapsulation process (people and machinery). It's disappointing, but I was still able to get fast track fees refunded.
  16. Having books dropped off does help get them into the system quicker. But once in the system, they should then go into the First In/First Out process. CGC doesn't always have the best luck in keeping with that system. Some subs lag way behind, while some move through the system very quickly. When we see newer subs getting through grading and shipping a month or three weeks before other older subs, it's hard to understand the process that CGC seems to have...
  17. You can't be upset with @greggy, he's been submitting like this for years. I'd want to have his luck with getting books back in a timely manner if I was subbing 300-500 books a week. But it begs the question, that if CGC isn't supposed to know whose books they are grading, how are all the books getting back before a ton of our other books? I understand it's part of the process, but it makes it difficult to feel its impartial.
  18. Congrats! I wish they would follow the first in/first out that they tout so hard. It's just luck of the draw for what they grab first that day I guess. Makes it hard to try and sub books to sell at shows. Lately everything is coming back well past TAT. I hope all levels start to speed up and we get normal times again.
