I think $3500 is touching the high end of the spectrum. I was hoping the $3999 was real, but it sounds like it was a shill.

I personally value most UK Key issues at 70%-75% of US copies, so if a US ST110 8.0 is going for $6500 right now, i'd say a UK ST110 8.0 would be valued around $4550- $4875. I think pence copies have been gaining steam. I sold a UK TOS 39 7.5 last year for about 75% of US value.

I know for a fact that a 9.0 recently sold for $14k in a private sale. Right, I honestly don't see the next publicly available one going for less that 15k. -J. So you're saying the last recorded GPA sale of $6200 is slightly misleading?

I was smart lucky enough to buy my DS169 9.6 last year before the run up on price. I paid $620 for a 9.6. And as a bonus it's got the old CGC label. I remember having slight remorse and thought I over paid. ST110 was doing really well at the time but DS169 hadn't really budged so I thought I made a mistake. I also went crazy and bought an ST115 9.4 last June for $4k. I'm still not sure about that purchase. High grade ST115s never seem to come up. I'm going to assume that I did ok though since other Doc Strange is doing so well. Does anyone have a clue what a ST110 9.0 might go for these days? One sold on the boards here a year ago for about $10k but there's no recent GPA data and I haven't been paying attention to CC & Clink auctions.

My prediction is that we will see no more bids on this (although I hope I'm proven wrong). GPA shows a 7.5 sold at $4063 this month and a 7.0 sold at $3227 this month so $3999 for a 7.0 seems a little suspicious to me. Now, if they make a big Dr Strange announcement at SDCC then I can see the next jump in price. It's a nice looking 7.0. Maybe the bidder is hoping to resub for an 8.0? You're right, when I first looked at the comic in the auction I thought it looked undergraded. That's gotta be what the bidder is thinking. it looks as good as my 8.0

Whoa, there's a $3999 bid on the ST 110 7.0 on ebay right now. It's a sweet looking 7.0, but that bid seems too high. Schill? Or has St100 come so far that 7.0s are going for $4k? My comics have been with CGC for 1 month now and the status hasn't moved from "Received". Is that common? How long does it take for them to verify? I've submitted before but don't remember it taking so long for the comics to be verified. They are all in the Economy tier. I've got a feeling I'm going to be waiting a loooooong time for this batch.

Andrew, I've been working so much lately that I've been missing all of Comiconnects auctions. It really sounds like their auctions are doing amazingly well. $70000 for the 6.0 is outstanding considering a 6.5 sold for $62800 just 6 months ago. What was the amount of resto on the 7.5? Extensive?

I wonder how much the "mood" of the grader has to do with it. Like maybe they woke up with a crick in their neck so no comic can get better than a 9.6 that day. Or maybe they just had a really good bowel movement so they give an otherwise 9.8 a 9.9.

About $1000 I have NO idea how the graders decide one of these is a 9.9. But I will say, my 9.9 is a gorgeous book. No spine tics, perfect corners. If Doomsday gets put into a future movie, having a 9.9 will be like winning the lottery. Goodluck on your submission. I hope you get atleast a 9.8

Is this where I join the MOS 18 9.9 club? I'm really stoked about getting this 9.9. About 1000 MOS 18s are on the census and still only 5 9.9s have been found. I hope it stays like that but with all of the submissions I'm sure it will change soon.

I noticed that most of the Yellow Kid pages I had had the dirty hand print on the front of YK's shirt even when there were words written. Does the hand print mean anything? Does "hand print" = early?

I love the Art in those Mose books. Tough to find those all in one piece. Impossible to find them in mid to high grade.

Dumbest thing I ever did was sell a scrap book filled with Yellowkid strips. Some of them must have been really early because he had nothing more than a handprint smudge on his yellow shirt. I wish I had them all back.

I finally got around to taking a pic of my coverless Archie 2. We spend a lot of time looking at covers so I decided to take some extra pics. -2 full page Ad pages (I love these early in-house ads) -The "steamy" start to the Veronica story. BTW, if anyone has a loose cover for me, or wants to do a trade for this one let me know.

It's like in "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" when everyone who had encountered the aliens started making things that looked like Devils Tower. The "doodles" that Garrett & Coulson made are basically a Dreyfus Mashed Potato Sculpture of Devils tower. Possibly coordinates to lead them somewhere?

Ok, Ward is not a triple agent. And he's being locked away now. But he's been an integral part of season one so you know he'll be back in the mix somehow for season two. I wonder how they'll bring him back. I don't think he can ever be a part of the team any more, but surely he'll still be a big part of the series. At some point I suppose Fitz & Simmons will figure out that Ward actually saved them. Anyone have any educated guesses as to who Skye's father is? Was he burned? What seemed to be wrong with him?

I agree with squeggs. This seller would have made $1000s more if they had used Sparkle City. Heck, I might start using Sparkle City more. My ebay auctions seem to get a lot of views but then I look over at SC auctions and they're always getting top dollar. I wonder if we will see a flip on this comic. I think we all agree that the buyer got it on the cheap, so a quick flip might happen. Keep your eyes peeled.
