  1. This is criminal. Seriously... This is an iconic piece of history. I cannot believe CGC is promoting this.
  2. Curious as to what that Tec 27 with "slightly" brittle pages and "minor" amount of glue going to go for.. I have no idea.
  3. I presented this idea on the boards years ago. CGC could give two grades: The current grade, (even if in a blue label) and the "potential grade" if pressing were done or resto removal. The potential grade would be an estimate, but all grading is subjective anyways. There is a market for this.
  4. I don't understand how "color touch removal" is anything less than just tearing or scraping the color out? How can CGC be ok with this? I understand how pressing can be given a pass, but this is next level... I mentioned this a few months ago, when the Sup#1 3.0 was sold at HA, but I've seen other blue chip books since then that have suffered the same fate. I don't understand how buyers aren't noticing this? It is obvious and ludicrous. I hope the market recognizes this.
  5. In another 10-20 years, will the census for rare HG material be double? Triple? What are the chances top census GA (or Atomic Age) books will stand as top in 10-20 years from now? Interested in opinions..
  6. Is $80K really the market now for a cover?? A complete 1.5 just sold at CC for $132k...
  7. Hello CGC, How do I request a correction to the census? A Superman #12 9.2 was graded and sold last year as seen in the Heritage archives. However, shortly after it's sale, it was regraded and actually went down in grade to an 8.5. So the current 9.2 on the census no longer exists as a 9.2. I can post pics of the book and you can see it is the same exact book. You can compare the scans on the HA auction archives. Can you please remove the 9.2 on the census to reflect the correct iteration as an 8.5? Thanks. Clark
  8. Hmm I'd much rather buy a book that was recently downgraded than recently upgraded! Perhaps nothing was done besides the dust shade removal, and it was graded more strictly? (Assuming it hopefully wasn't damaged) at least we know it probably wasn't graded more leniently.
  9. Almost every main stream superhero Promise book has now returned to HA within less than 2 years. Surely this was one buyer. I have a hard time believing two or more buyers would follow this same pattern of reselling these books. So, the question still remains: Was the "sale" really an unrealized sale? Or just a quick flip?
  10. This is really a shame... A Sup1 is an iconic piece of history.. "Gotta love this hobby" ...who says that?
