A bit of serendipity had two pages from the same issue of Daredevil auctioned within a couple weeks of each other. Since I consigned the one with Comiclink, I was very interested in seeing where the one at Heritage finished. Daredevil #213, page 7, Heritage Weekly Auction ending 3/20/2024: $3,120 Daredevil #213, page 8, Comiclink Featured Auction ending 3/6/2024: $5,650 The two pages seem comparable to me - page 7 is a much better action page, but there's something to be said for the DD/Kingpin interaction on page 8. As I was only auctioning the one page, there's no way I would get any sort of favorable terms at Heritage, and I assume it would have been dumped in a weekly auction. To match the net amount I received from Comiclink, it would have had to sell for $7,062.50 at Heritage. No way to know for sure, but I think that's unlikely. I'm very happy to have consigned to Comiclink and think they have their place. That said, improvements are always welcome, and you never know when someone is going to sneak up on you (MyComicShop is poised to each their lunch if enough eyeballs shift to their auctions). It's much easier to maintain an audience than to try and win them back after they've left.

Do you have a decent public/university library? I have two near me with 11x17 scanners that can do beautiful scans.

FWIW, I ordered some pages from David in November last year along with a commission and received them yesterday. Outstanding work. As @vodou said, he ships when he ships, but I doubt you have anything to worry about (if you haven't received them already).

It's an attempt to tease out more money -- if you check the Etherium exchange rates these pieces are now more expensive than they were when priced with the US dollar. I can see the thinking. There are people who stumbled into some easy money with cryptocurrencies. If you bought in cheap (say, $100/coin) you can look at that Amazing Spider-Man cover as costing you $3,500. What a bargain! It's not that much different from trading a piece to a dealer to facilitate a purchase. You know it's being undervalued but if you bought in cheap and want the new piece badly enough it's easy to justify in your mind. With crypto being so volatile you're trading some risk for a more stable asset. I think it's an interesting gamble. I'd love to see how things play out if the currency crashes after a customer makes payment but before the art is shipped. There are some dealers I would trust to send out the art and some I wouldn't.

Sorry, my message was a little confusing. Comixology offers two services -- one is to purchase and download digital comics. You get to keep these and you can read them even when you're not online. They are in a restricted format so you are limited to reading them with the Comixology app. There is also a service called Comixology Unlimited, which is what I meant when I wrote, "If you join Comixology..." This allows you to download and read selected comics (they are clearly marked with an "Unlimited" banner) as long as you're a member. It's $5.99/month and the first month is free. When your membership ends the CU comics you downloaded disappear but the ones you purchased do not. Bonus - while you are a member you also get a discount on purchases (15% for Marvel, though I think it differs by publisher).

If you're open to digital, Comixology is having a sale through July 15 on all of the Amazing Spider-Man Marvel Masterworks for $5.99 each. Unfortunately to get issue 100 you need the 11th volume, which reprints 100-109. If you join Comixology (first month free!) you'll get an additional 15% off the sale price for a total of $55.99 for all 11 books.

Lots of red flags here. As you noted, the difference in sizes of the characters. The signature doesn't look right (and is it signed 'Charlie' rather than 'Charles'?). The difference in line weight between the characters and the tree/grass is something I've never seen in a Schulz drawing before. The line work looks amateurish. I'm pretty sure it's a fake.

When I was in school in the early 90s there was Country Dreamer and West Side Comics in Rutland. There was also a decent store in Middlebury... Comics Route, I think? Before that there was Moondance in Brattleboro. I used to drool over the full page ad they had on the inside front cover of Marvel comics around 1980 or so but I never made it to the shop. Sadly, all of these closed and nothing has sprung up to replace them. I think comic book collectors in Vermont have always relied heavily on mail order. If you're looking for back issues you might pop over to Comic Boom in Keene, NH, about twenty minutes east of Brattleboro. Otherwise you could come down to western Massachusetts and visit Gary Dolgoff in Easthampton or Superworld Comics in central MA. You should call first though as neither of them are traditional comic book stores.
