  1. Received the Thorn Kickstarter book today (I had a signed print, so took longer). Gorgeous book put together by Jeff Smith & Co. However, my favorite thing about it may be the reproductions of the three Bone mini comics that he created as a kid, bonused into three little pockets inside the back cover.
  2. I'd say it's both the timing (right after Christmas) but especially the extremely poor listing by the Seller. Blurry pics of the front cover, none of the sensitive all-black back cover. The description literally only says "Graded book." Seriously? Dude needs to put a little effort into his listings. Probably cost himself several hundred dollars. I would have steered clear at full price on it as well. Still, his careless attitude with the listing does end up hurting us all by pulling down the GPA averages. Argh.
  3. I'm just now at the beginning stages of reading about this scandal. Holy jeez, not what I wanted to see post-holiday fun. Regarding CGC's noticeable silence on such a serious scandal (it's likely been mentioned in the past 160+ pages that I haven't yet read), one possible reason that CGC has not made a statement yet is that they may be working with law enforcement (e.g. FBI) on what looks to be millions of dollars in interstate fraud over the course of years, and CGC is being advised not to talk about it yet. I would also think it would be corporate malpractice if CGC was not speaking with some high-rolling legal counsel, who presumably would advise discretion until their ducks are in a row with potential liability. This all is way beyond just a PR nightmare for CGC. (Again, sorry if this has already been discussed and hashed out. Just my very initial impression of the situation with CGC.)
  4. Oooh, I'd been looking for an Issue 3 1st print in 9.8 for a long while to go with my 1 and 2. You're lucky.
  5. It literally only took a few minutes for the Kickstarter to blow past its goals. Wow. I opted for the $150 tier with the Bone Evolution signed print.
  6. The only Atlas books that I've actively sought out were the Planet of Vampire books. Not for the stories though. Just love the covers.
  7. Greggy! Yes, thank you!! When I saw these listed in the auction, I was all in. No one was going to out bid me on them!
  8. Love McFarlane Marvel Tales covers. Highly underrated. Totally jelly of your newsstand 235 & 236. Wow!
  9. Beauty! Definitely one of the best copies out there! Jealous!!
  10. Heritage 9.8 ended at $15k (including BP)! I'm not too surprised actually. I've found the trend on most all the books I'm watching to have strong final bids. Good sign.
  11. Got a few Spidey Super Stories recently....
  12. Horrible news about Jeff. Wishing him a speedy recovery. Jeff Smith suffers cardiac arrest
