  1. Ok, I couldn't resist, because even with shipping Tuesday, they won't be here until next Tuesday, after Christmas. Thanks Fed Ex... 75 calendar days from the day I shipped to the day they should get to me. Not bad, but not quite close to 30 business days. All 6 of the Seal grades were at least an A (3 A's, 3 A+) Somehow Advance Wars 2 ended up with an 8.0, so I'm really interested to inspect it since it looked great when I sent it. Advance Wars received a 9.2 which is good, but not what I expected. Dual Strike had a 9.6, which makes sense because it basically looked perfect. Days of ruin had a 9.4. Pokemon Y got a 9.4, and Brilliant Diamond a 9.6. I'm not really sure what it takes to get a 9.8, since the ones that got 9.4 and higher looked flawless, off the shelf condition to me, but I'm also not looking at everything under a microscope, which I hope is what CGC is doing and makes it take that long to grade the games. In other words, huge congratulations if you manage to get a 9.8. don't expect you can just send in a brand new off the shelf game from GameStop or target and it's in 9.8 condition.
  2. SHIPPED!!!!!!!! SO EXCITED TO GET THEM AND SEE THE GRADES! Its going to take all of my willpower not to check the grades online, but I will share after I get them.
  3. Awesome!!! Great grades too! I actually made a mistake. I was charged for the card submission CGC received December 9th; those are all graded now after 10 calendar days (not business days). Games are still in grading.
  4. Still in 'Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging', but my CC was charged today. I also see that even though the shipment was delivered 10/18 at CGC, the status says Received 10/24, so I expect the 30 day turnaround is planned from that date. So if you ship, they might arrive at the dock, but not be in their system for a week. Although today is business day 39 from October 24th, so it may take a couple of weeks to go from Received to where they start the turnaround cycle. Or maybe they just started and are refining things and we should give them time to establish things and get in a groove.
  5. I'm starting small with Nintendo Game Boy Advance Advance Wars Nintendo Game Boy Advance Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising Nintendo DS Advance Wars: Dual Strike Nintendo DS Advance Wars: Days of Ruin Nintendo 3DS Pokemon Y Nintendo Switch Pokemon Brilliant Diamond I have some rarer Pokemon games, some NES games, and Atari games, but I want to see what the results are from this submission before seeing if I want to send anything else in yet.
  6. Exciting news today! CGC Video games have a status page!!!!!! Look for the new Submission Status section and click the View button! Mine currently shows Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging and I can see the details of each game. It looks great so far!!!
  7. To your point about them doing this a long time, they have been grading comics for decades, and I have 2 submissions in currently, one from March and one from June. On the other hand, they have been grading cards for a little over 2 years and I sent in a BULK order 2 weeks ago and it is already in Grading/QC, and I have little doubt I will see it before Christmas. Both are ironic, but it'll just end up making me want to send in bulk cards and I haven't wanted to send comics in because of that wait time. I said from day one that I'd wait to send in more video games until I see what happens with this lot. I waited around a year to send these few in, I can wait a lot longer before I consider submitting my most valuable games.
  8. I guess you can look at the positive. At least they communicated it would be another two weeks. Mine are at 40 days, and I didn't get an email. Lol This is all new for them, and they're trying.
  9. Regardless, if they have logistical problems right now, you can't trust the 30-day estimate. I'm personally not in a 'hurry' to get mine back, but it's a little weird if someone sent theirs in weeks after you did and they got theirs back already.
  10. Thursday would have been 33 business days for you since received. I wonder if they are counting the 'received date' for the start of the 30 days, or if they sit in receiving for 2 weeks before the clock starts. Without an ability to be able to see any status changes online, we couldn't begin to make estimates unless more people noted here when their games were received by CGC and received from CGC. And then, they would have to note which tier their games were, so we could determine if more expensive tiers are being prioritized.
  11. I'm curious if it's the cardboard, bubble wrap or tape shipping supply that was difficult to procure... I just saw the video Slab Skillz posted, saying his turnaround for 6 games was 3 weeks and he just got them back. His video of prepping to send them in on YT was a month ago, which tracks. Even though all of the TATs have always been 30 days, I'm guessing he must have submitted in a more expensive tier that got prioritized. It's been almost 8 weeks that CGC has had my submission of 6 games. The good news is that if it's just a shipping component causing the delay, they can still grade, do QC, and encapsulate, and they can sit in shipping as the last step until that's ready.
  12. I check about five times a day, so knowing CGC, I'll notice myself far before they send me any update.
  13. I'm very excited to see a status update on my order any day now!! It's been 30 business days since CGCs system showed they received my games, and thankfully the turnaround time has stayed at 30 the whole time, so I'll be happy to share what I see with everyone on any status changes, from "Your package has been delivered and is securely stored in our facility."
  14. Thanks Matt! It's not really an inconvenience. I'm sure we are all excited to see how this grows and updates and will watch closely. Ultimately I still expect my games back well before Christmas with the 30 business day turnaround, so it's not critical to be able to observe the status changes as they go through the process.
  15. So, the day CGC announced they were accepting video games, I shipped in a box of games. They were delivered October 18th. More than a week later, when I check completed orders, it shows order confirmation with order #, and shows 'Next Step: Prepare & Send'. As someone who has been sending cards and comics to CGC for years, I am familiar with how those are run, with statuses like received for grading, scheduled for grading, grading, encapsulation, imaging, grading/qc, and shipped. I'm interested to see when the status for the games I shipped change and are updated, as well as how that is displayed on the site. With current turnaround at 30 days, I expect this to happen quickly and soon. I'm also curious to see if like the cards, they have online images of the graded games, and like the comics if there will be a QR code to view grader notes. Also with the cards, if the card is perfect, subgrades are provided by CGC too. This is everyone's first rodeo with CGC on games, so there will be a lot of learning to do. I'm far from impatient, as someone who has several orders in Economy grading for comics, where turnaround is over a full year. I'm observing the process to see how the statuses are tracked online, and when I get my submission back, it will determine whether I submit games in the future. Has anyonr else submitted games and seen a status update online?
