  1. Announcing our THIRD (maybe our final) who really knows! Marvel Meets DC! We've taken and stapled a Superman 75 along side an ASM 700! Wrapped them with a thin gold cover. Added some staples and VOILA! Can't wait for everyone to get their hands on these!
  2. Since our first variant sold out almost instantly to Greggy. We are launching our second one! This time we've taken a sheet of printer paper and attached it to an old book found in the dollar bins. But wait here's where it gets fun...the number of staples added AFTER manufacturing will vary! Did you get 1 or 9 extra staples. Collect them all!
  3. I'm taking pre-orders: CGC Universal Blue labels as promised by CGC's new stance on etsy covers stapled onto retro books. Print run of 2000 copies. Colour of the LOTDK may vary. No restrictions on how many anyone wants to purchase so get in line quick! $1000 per 9.8
  4. I have a good few thousands batman legends of the dark knight. I can't freaking wait to make a limited edition home made cover on top of the drek.
  5. What are the rules behind this absurdity. Can I do my own stapling? Do I have to have a 'print run'? How old of a book can I add a cover too? Does it have to be a con exclusive? This will open the flood gates.
  6. I mean I surely hope @CGC Mike will address this.
  7. Unfortunately I have no answers. just something I saw tending relative to this convo

  9. Maybe @CGC Mike can answer that for us?
  10. Someone's not impressed (no idea who they are just saw it online)
  11. Have fun all. Unfortunately had some things come up so can't head down.
  12. https://www.cgccomics.com/submit/events/ Based on the link they will not be. They haven't been in a few years (pre covid)
  13. Ugh it just won't be the same.
  14. I don't care about you setting up. I care about you being my chaperone so I don't get in trouble... Or have to deal with greggy. Hope mom is doing ok
  15. What in the F I'm trying to come to your stupid city and you just abandon it?
  16. They put a what looks like a screwdriver through a 9.8 in a creep engine case book of mine...they regraded it a 9.4 and hoped I wouldn't notice. It shouldn't be a 9.4 ;)
  17. This is the biggest Canadian show. Like most big shows they've morphed over the years to include a lot more than just comics. If you are into Pop culture from movies/actors/writers/trinkets I don't think you'll be disappointed. If you are only looking to buy cheap comics this isn't the best show as most dealers don't bring the cheaper stuff because table costs are higher so need more $ coming in. If you are looking for bigger books there will be several in the room from a few dozen H181's to a few AF15s/ASM1 type books.
  18. @Kevin Boyd any idea when all the dealer stuff will be sent out?
  19. It's more or less already disclosed by sellers. Like Roy says books shipped from cgc coming back a 7.0 here is the raw scan or the guys preselling ss/9.8 books. Hey guys I will be picking up xyz variant from sdcc offering up 5 copies for $50 each, $150 9.8 or $200 9.8 SS. No new rule/poll is required.
  20. Oh I know what thread this stemmed from. Again Omaha had access to the book via slug (who from my understanding did nothing wrong, he purchased the book from the guy who screwed Dr balls out of the comic link sale) If Dr balls had bought the book from omaha/slug the deal still would have been completed or else they'd have faced the consequences of not being able to complete it. If my business model is to sell books before they are in hand and checked for qc issues from cgc that's my problem should a deal go sideways. If my business model is taking consignments and selling books without them in hand and things go sideways that's my problem should a deal go sideways. Have a link to any others where the seller sold something and didn't have it in hand? I know there's been some where a seller 'left money on the table and didn't complete for that reason'. Heck that's happened WAY More than a seller selling something not in hand and the deal going sideways. Maybe all sellers should be required to send books to a 3rd party for safe keeping so they can't back out once the book is posted
  21. I've yet to see a reason why we need this rule. We have legit not had an issue with this. Why make something that hasn't had an issue a rule? Roy was just one single person off the top of my head. We have all kinds of consignment items both in hand and access to. If I'm willing to stick my neck out for my consignor and offer their book on the boards without in my hands why can't I? If my consignor wants to pull the rug they can but my necks on the line to make it up to the boardie. It's no different than if I say yes to an offer for a consignor book and in the morning they have changed their mind. I likely haven't been paid for the book or shipped it and they could be waiting first thing in the morning to take it back. If this rule had merit I'd be all for it (ie it's been a huge issue on the boards). If we want to put real rules in place let's target things that are actually issues like non paying buyers etc.
  22. I've yet to see any reason why this rule should even be put in place. We haven't had an issue so we are legit adding a rule just to add a rule. This rule will impact Roy. He sells a whack of books on their way back from cgc. Right or wrongly this will impact him. Has he had any issues in doing so? Nope.
