  1. Oh I don't disagree with you at all on the above. I wouldn't consign a book to a dealer if they just sold it to me as a 3.5 with ow/w and it comes back a 2.5 with LT/OW pages without there being something behind the scenes. I'd find another dealer to work with on the transaction (just my ).
  2. Thinking out loud ... owner bought it from Sparkle and was disappointed with the grade so they agreed to auction it off for them to hopefully reduce any negative feelings. I know if I bought a raw book from a dealer and it came back a full point lower I wouldn't be handing it over to them for sale without some sort of "extra" negotiation.
  3. Those two raw copies did not sell. I did sell a CGC NM #87 9.6 on Sunday and Eric sold the other guys 9.4 of #87 Jim Which end
  4. Im sorry I didn't have much time to photograph and there was just too many ppl digging maybe next time I'll take better pictures .
  5. Right! I'm hopeful they'll put me where I need to be especially since I requested to be by Andy and take over the booth location of one of the comic vendors not returning.
  6. Paid for the rest of my booth...now I wait to find out about booth locations
  7. Just to follow up on what Jim said. It's $10,000 Canadian amongst the family (if you are bringing yours). So remember USD is currently about 1USD = 1.32 CDN so if you've got around 7.5k USD you need to declare it. You've crossed before so nothing extra or special. You aren't allowed to "sell" in Canada without declaring it and going through hoops so if you do plan to bring some books maybe consider trading them
  8. Another well attended show Rob. The show was sooooo busy the ENTIRE parking lot was full $dollar bin sales were strong...but how can you turn down books at a $1 especially key titles from the big 2! I wonder what I shall bring for the August show
  9. We spell them doughnuts up here...you guys are the ones with the memory loss, you guys forgot three letters. We speak English down here. You speak 'Merican
  10. Rick's personal sales don't mean Jack when it comes to mc vs non mc just like Rick's personal sales don't mean jack when it comes to PQ either Grenade lobbed in and exits thread.
  11. Will he (and more importantly you) be at Montreal in a couple weeks?
  12. I didn't get to the con by any means, just a book been looking for. Glad you got a good price for it. any idea on the price or the dealer for the AF15?
  13. Wish I would have come into this thread sooner and saw the Flash 86
  14. Do you have a wall this weekend...or should we just trust you that you have wall books I really wish I would have taken a picture of your sign that time :(
  15. There are a few good dealers that bring keys. If you're looking for a massive selection of choice in Hulk 1's or that sort of thing they aren't there. That said there is often several ASM300's, NM98's etc around. Myself, Jim, Marc, Kevin and a few others often have a few major keys (AV1's, Hulk 181's, X-men 1's)...I would say on average there is one copy of almost all major keys. I don't know if its worth the 2hr flight...but it honestly is the best comic show, as it's strictly a comic show and you don't need to deal with the other aspects of the big cons (cosplay, celebrities/artists, MASSIVE crowd). Since you hit up Fan Expo and do everything then (sigs etc) I don't know if you can justify it with flights but the admission is much more attractive haha.
  16. 05/31/201731000MECHANICAL ERROR Graded (according to their posted TAT its 30 business days)
  17. McDonalds isn't the only one doing dollar days ~3000 books all $1.
  18. They charge you extra to use them....
  19. Good luck with their online form. It hasn't worked fully since they launched it in Dec. they tell us they are working on it but it's probably CCS's fault for improper pressing.
