  1. https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?Piece=2009913&GSub=0&GCat=14768&UCat=14768 My latest Bob Larkin Hulk poster homage by Brett Parson
  2. As newbs, we all make mistakes, get "had" on a seller not providing all information on a piece, etc. It is all part of learning the hobby. There's no shame so I am not sure why the collector doesn't just own it and move forward. If it were mine, I would credit the piece correctly as a prelim inked by another artist (where is the credit to Mark Farmer?) and move on. I might even have it colored to further distinguish it from the art used on the print.
  3. Hulk 55 page - pencils by Dale Eaglesham https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=2000445
  4. Another Ed McGuinness page in the collection - this one continues a sequence from a DPS I already have. I can't, nor want to, stop by McGuinness art ... already looking for the next page https://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1997143
  5. A couple pieces I picked up at OAX from Chris Stevens and José Luis García-López. I also picked up a Wayshak (posted a page or so earlier) at the show. https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1993073 https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1993068
  6. First piece of 2024 and newest addition to the Bob Larkin Hulk poster homage gallery. Love Jonathan Wayshak's work - so talented! https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1989467
  7. Hulk and Banner cover by Alan Davis https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1981003
  8. Liam Sharp page from the 90s Peter David run - issue 427 (Man Thing issue) https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1953640
  9. Why do you need a company to do this? Do you need CGC (or another company) to grade art? Clearly, the answer is no as the "grade" doesn't really mean anything. Do you need a company to authenticate? If this could be done well, maybe but this is not an easy task and a company would need to have extensive knowledge to do this to avoid the forgeries, fake covers, altered pieces, etc. Now, encapsulating in a way that preserves the art? Yes - there could be an opportunity to step it up from Itoyas, etc. ... I could see a market there for some (not all)
  10. Exciting page for all the Rot Lop Fan fans out there - the first appearance! Wonderful page from Alan Moore, Bill Willingham, and Terry Austin https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1948108
  11. Congrats Jay - this was an epic and monumental project - so happy to see you on the other side of such a lofty goal. Do you have X-men artist targets that you don't have that fall outside of the 3 consecutive issues that you might be chasing? Looking forward to seeing upgrades and additions.
  12. My focus was "anything that appealed to me" when I really started. I bought a ton of sketches and commissions and some pages that weren't too expensive. I think my first pages I bought were at a con and I know they included some Hulk Annual pages by Wagner and a couple Freddie Williams Flash pages. After the primarily squirrel phase of collecting, I came back to my roots and pivoted mostly to Hulk artwork.
  13. Yep - bought these on a whim at a show. Had some extra funds and nothing else I wanted to buy when I ran into a setup with Skottie Young and Greg Titus. Skottie was sold out but Greg had these so I scooped them up. I was pretty heavy into collecting statues and busts at this time and didn't buy another piece of art for 2-3 years which I now regret (along with regretting buying so many comics in the 90s instead of art). Once I started collecting art in earnest, the statue/bust hobby slowed to an almost standstill. https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=775411 https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=775409
  14. What if the Hulk went Berserk (issue 45) has always been a favorite - happy to add another page from the issue https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1939544
  15. Who loves a Hembeck? I sure do - hope you enjoy this commission from Fred transforming into the gamma powered Hembeck Hulk (first appearance too) https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1937712
  16. My reunited story is from my favorite comic, Hulk 227. I managed my third and fourth pages this year which coincidentally completed a 4 page sequence. I was thrilled! https://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1922342
  17. Wow, you don't see DPS pages split often, and putting them back is a monumental task. Congrats!
  18. This sounds like me and a NFS Sal B Defenders page I inquired on and ultimately was able to buy. Still in my CAF gallery but only from a couple years ago.
  19. Really enjoyable thread. I can't say that I have been on the extreme side of either scenario. I can't say I haven't expressed how much a piece would mean to own, but never coupled with any logic suggesting it should be sold for a steal of a price. I feel fortunate if showing your hand gives you a shot at something that isn't for sale - the price comes next (I have been on both sides here - prices in the FMV+ range and prices in the multiples of FMV range). I don't sell a lot and only get the random occasional inquiry for something listed NFS - if truly NFS I just say I am not looking to sell and that usually ends the conversation.
  20. Agreed - this is a visual medium so pictures will serve far better than lists and descriptions. I would create a CAF gallery and add each page image. Don't get me wrong, anything you can do is a smart move and covering all bases is a prudent decision. I am very sorry to hear about this. I would think they police would be able to narrow a suspect list down based on who worked the shift, handled the art, etc. the last time it was recorded as being in the system. I hope you find every page!
  21. Godzilla page #2 in the collection finally acquired. Next on the wish list: Trimpe Shogun Warriors. I loved this story and thrilled to have a page from it https://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1928297
