    agreed, I would tap on the back. I just bought a DPS and the artist taped it together on the back with blue painter's tape

    That was the point I was trying to (more subtly) make. The cover doesn't have the Hulk (I don't consider Rick Jones to be the Hulk).

    Good point ... I have several Mike Deodato pages that were published from pencils and they are gorgeous.

    Totally agree. The art gets a serious bump for being McFarlane but clearly not yet in his signature style. Another plus for being a Hulk cover but a minus for not having Hulk on the cover. I would be curious to see how far it would get bid up if auctioned off.

    Totally agree – no solution that doesn’t stink for either the buyer or seller. Surely this can’t be the first time something like this has happened. Anyone know if there is anything documented procedure at CL? Or is this at CL discretion on a case by case basis?

    Congrats to the winners! Some really nice art. I wasn't really paying much attention to this auction - I might have bid on the Hulk vs Quasimodo page if I had.

    Interesting. I went back to re-read as I just looked at this quickly at first as the drawing looked like one of those criminal sketches Is that really tens of thousands of dollars in art? I knew Neal charged a lot for his art but that seems high even for him.

    I have to see this changing. As bad as FF is floundering, it is a huge property for Marvel if they can get it back. Once they do, the MCU will be FF-centric for a few years and back in at the top. IMHO.
