  5. here is a lecture about the camps given at the National WW2 Museum, I enjoyed it and thought I would share
  6. I'm glad that all worked out Now I just gotta con you into taking the last couple of my Non Don Winslow slabs in trade for art Muahahaha
  7. For the first time I sold books. I was a hyperventilating goober through out the whole process but Darkowl put up with me and I couldn't have asked for a better home for my books 2 Thumbs up
  8. http://www.comicpedigrees.com/ Gold and silver age books that originated from a specific collection. normally cost 3-5 times the amount a none pedigree version of the same book does
  9. Just don't get hooked on pedigree books my friend.... that stuff is like crack
  10. ZOMG !!! Thank you Robot and please please please post the others if you find the time !
  11. are you a Lisner man? .... trying to decide which books to toss in my next PIF offer
  12. Welcome to the Boards Jonnywadd. I don't do vampire or horror books but for variants you cant go wrong with grimm fairy tales or penny for your soul books
  13. Scare the outa dogs you say..... might have to get me one of those
  14. Hamlet, I believe he kept more than 1 copy of a lot of books. they don't all have the stamp
  15. impressive indeed. I wouldn't mind having his collection
  16. I agree with Cheetah. Marking on golden age books adds to appeal to me. Its part of the history. My favorite stamped books are actually the easiest to attain. I love Crowley file copies. The in house stamp to me just rocks. As soon as you see the marking, there is no denying it came from the Crowley collection, & to know the book was one of the first of the production run and it was handled only once or twice in its life makes it twice as cool. To me what it boils down to when talking to folks about Pedigree books and why they are so cool is simply this Some books we collect for the story on the pages, some for the story *OF* the pages
  17. aye straw-man does and cheetah might
  18. I will take the DPJr points I think they will be worth more in the long run. As for his work I like some of his stuff from Analog Magazine, love the queen cover he did "news of the world" and I one day would love to buy some of the original art the family has for sale on his tribute page "If I hit the lotto" I think I even have a spelljammer book or two with his art on it This piece is called Rumble in the woods. I just love the bald guys expression If that face doesn't say "I'm gonna open a can of whoop-*ss on you I don't know what does
  19. Love the OA piece !! and trust us. bags may not be a big deal now but when you get enough slabs that you start rotating them "display wise" you will be glad you have them
  20. I always keep the bags on my slabs man, if nothing else they prevent scratches.
