Comic book spinner racks - who's got one?
yecul replied to Quicksilver Signs's topic in Comics General
Any way to determine age and fmv for these things? This one is for sale near me but this is a newer rack I believe but unclear on the topper. -

I own one (numbered, no letter though) and am ok with that result. Had no idea unnumbered but signed ones were floating around. Maybe a one off or just a few? I wasn't even sure a #'d print would go for that amount. It's a very nice print and is signed... but as someone said earlier in the thread - it is still a print!

Are these things really $500+ depending on which one, condition, etc? what's the best way to display them amd get a black light on them?

Wow, so a tiny bit of knowledge! I will check them. S1-4 is on church, so 2nd and T1-4 looks like a 5th. Barcode has a # and above, outside the barcode box, is the ISBN. Oh well. I have 60-80 open ones (probably on lower end) and hardcovers. Those vintage books and modules are just so classic. Is any of that documented anywhere or is that all Qalyar-fu?

Ah, gotcha, true enough. And, since we're doing some sharing in this thread and pics are always fun, here's my sealed modules...

Would CGC not grade a SW book and consider it sealed, similar to video games? Or do you feel CGC would not grade it due to inability to verify the seal was original?
-
Never really occurred to me that you'd get these graded, but sure, why not. Especially for a sealed example unless you plan to open it -- might as well slab it if that's your thing. The questions of grading and validating all the details will be an interesting thing to watch. Were these all wrapped similarly, etc? I have 15-20 sealed modules, but not sure I'd ever grade 'em.

Picked up a little Scrooge lot. The piggy bank and pen are great. Flip book is fun. Any ideas on the ceramic statue? Made in Taiwan sticker so assume not much and the hat is wrong! -

Picked up a couple Funky Enterprises posters. These are the felt posters that should react to a black light (haven't tested). From '96 and '97. Definitely prefer the Surfer one! Fairly well worn but fortunately mostly at the border. -
Getting a 10 for those hologram cards has to be difficult. Centering and easily scratched. Right? Not that the high price isn't shocking but there is a big premium for 10 vs 9 and less. Still spiked so grade it if it's a top end condition! Maybe the market stays hot foe the 3-18 months it takes to grade!
