  1. Now you're promoting the very same Archie #1 8.0 EP that you trashed in May, when it was up for auction by another seller?
  2. And you have no compulsion to repost the before-restoraton pics this time?
  3. [font:Fixedsys]Does anyone think it's odd that the same dealer who sold the restored 8.0 copy of Archie #1 back in Feb, has now relisted the book for sale again on ebay. The May Heritage Auction of this book went for only $9,000. The guy buys the same comic back at a fraction of what he sold it for, then relists it once again at $24,500. Go back to page 8 in this link, to see the unrestored "before" pics that were posted the week of the Heritage Auction. Coincidence that the leaked photos lowered the value of the comic, or does the whole thing sound a little suspicious? Archie Comics #1 CGC 8.0 ® [/font]
  4. Any thoughts on the CGC apparent 8.0 copy of Pep 22 on ebay this week? Is this the highest grade ever given to a book removed from a bound volume? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pep-Comics-22-1st-Archie-1941-very-fine-CGC-8-0-restored-/221233823350?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item3382903e76
  5. The price and the year don't add up. Archie #1 was worth less than $30 until 1976. $200 sounds more like a price form the mid to late 70's.
  6. There are at least 150 existing copies of Archie #1 today. It's a desirable book, but it's far from being scarce. There's always one for sale every other month. Archie #2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 are much rarer. There are less than 40 existing copies each.
