  1. I sold Eddy a Showcase #22, it was a pleasant and hassle-free transaction. Fast payment, good communication and an all-around great guy to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to buy or sell to him the future. (thumbs u
  2. I just made a deal with Michael on a JIM #85. He was extremely fast paying and the communication back and forth was top-notch. He's a real asset to the boards. I wouldn't hesitate to buy or sell from him in the future!
  3. I still can't decide whether issue 1 or 4 is the more important book overall in the grand scheme of the Marvel Universe.
  4. I have a sentimental place in my heart for Showcase #22, not only was it the first Silver Age key I bought, it was the first ever CGC book I got after getting back in comic collecting last year. It was all downhill from there.
  5. There is coverless hulk 1 on comicconnect right at this very moment for $400. Just sayin' Your welcome.
  6. If I could find a restored copy for $1200 or less I could swing it.
  7. Thanks, a coverless copy is about the only way I'm getting in this club for the next year or so at least
  8. On that note, anybody have a coverless one for sale?
  9. so this thread exists to just post anything you want, to up your post count? Brilliant....
  10. Not in the best shape, but I plan on getting conservation/restoration done down the road:
  11. Either that or he has his own Image printing plant at home....
  12. Gator I'm pretty interested on your thoughts on this as well. I have a coverless TEC #29 with a repro cover and I know some people prefer to keep things like that coverless. Does it make a difference, in your opinion, as far as FMV goes, with having a coverless GA key spruced up with a cover copy rather than left alone?
  13. Great guy to deal with, sold him a Cap #1 reprint signed by Joe Simon....I might have made me a future convention buddy too. (thumbs u
  14. Any news on when the "Chew" TV show will debut? I have a Chew #1 raw 9.8-9.9 candidate and I was wondering when I should get that slabbed and ready for the speculator boom.
  15. I want to join this club so bad, I'm not buying any other comic until I can find me a nice 3.0-5.0 of this.... I told myself I'd stick to my focus of buying only superhero books, but I can make an exception here since that cover is so damn cool.
  16. 32. I collected comics when I was between the ages of 9-14, then stopped when other things took over my focus. The Green Lantern movie sparked my interest again in April of last year, so I decided to buy a SC#22 CGC 1.0. Needless to say it was downhill from there and now all money seems to disappear in comics.
  17. I'm sure Warner Brothers will have to do something to retain the rights. If they bring the same guy back to play Sinestro I'll be happy. He was the best part of the movie in my opinion. Ryan Reynolds just didn't come across as "Hal Jordan" to me.
  18. I love low grade keys, not only because that's all I can afford, but also because you know they were well loved, read, and cherished by some kid who plunked down 10 cents back in the 40's. 50's or 60's.
  19. If the Green Lantern movie had did well, I believe SC #22 might have moved past SC #4 as the premier DC silver-age key. There's still talk of a sequel, but I don't know if the franchise is salvageable in it's current incarnation.
