Love the #72 cover.
Screw the LTOWP pages. This book was too sweet to pass up.

Just listed some GGA slabs in the Marketplace: Planet Comics 59, Famous Funnies 209, Rulah 19, Rocket to the Moon

Those early issues are tough. I think I have maybe 2/3 of the issues 18 on, but nothing before that. Haven;t been able to pull the trigger on various books costing 2K and up (besides the fact they don't come up for sale that often!). Perhaps in 20 years...

Just picked this up (sorry FD it's for my collection)

Love seeing the early Planets.
I just got my first Church book -- and it looks even better in person!
Comparing the MH 9.0 to others you may own.....what do you see as the major differences? The mystique of MH is ever present and the colors look incredible.
I can see the colors are nice. But can't make any comparisons to others books or other MHs unless they are in hand.

unfortunately, I paid a wee bit more. Tell you what, how about making a quick 200% profit on your #21?
-
Someone mentioned wanting to see more Planets?...
STEVE Got Larson?
TRADE?
not for trade

Kudos to HouseofComics for a Catman #10, Richard Henn and Pontoon for prompt payment on some books, and for others I've probably forgotten due to drugs from the 80's finally taking their toll.

Bindery tears are my pet peeve! CGC is way too lenient with bindery tears. (Especially for Golden Age!) I have seen huge tears at the corners of GA books that still got 9.4s CGC's explanation, "bindery tears"...? How do they know a reader didn't cause this tear 50 years ago? I think bindery tears on GA books are part of the aging process, and they should be graded accordingly.
agreed

Here is another one, this one with a decent Lou Fine cover, also for sale:
I can't find these books on your website (?)
Never mind- found your update links.

kudos to Pontoon and tilleycs for quick payment and smooth deals, and Buck Biggins for some nice books incl. a Corliss Archer #3.

WOW. Power 3. Awesome.
What condition is your Mask 1?
fair minus. cover tattered just hanging in there, but hey, still cool.
-
I bought a Mask #1 here on the boards a while ago (was that from you Jon?) and this cover reminded me of it, a little. Don't think I could spring for a 9.0 Mask 1, however

Great books.

That is without a doubt one of the best comic monsters ever!! Thanks for posting that Jon.
Here is one that just arrived this morning... its got a nice STARDUST story in it. Plus a swell Joe Simon cover.
I thought after reading Gerber PJ 7-8 times I had a sense of how many GA books I still "need". Then I keep reading these threads.
The one thing that gives me hope is, as Jon implies, many of these still look pretty sweet in G.

Overdue kudos to ft88 for some early X-Men, Rocketeer for a nice CGC Lois Lane,
marveljunkie for some GA horror, comicseekers for some Treasure Chest and Millies, and Dano for a sweet CGC Jungle 34 and a bonus raw 34 to boot!

Beautiful book, Ryan! I have a reader/beater copy of #3, but that is one sharp copy you have there.
And hey, that guy in red looks strangely familiar to me...
Love Science Comics

Thanks. Just wanted to alert you that at least 3 sweet copies of this book are in the hands of board members.
Only 2 slabbed copies of #72 grade higher than 7.0.
