  1. I dare you to resubmit it!
  2. I never thought I'd see the day when this thread was inactive. I refuse to let it slip to the second page!
  3. Well said. I agree that the social media manipulation is killing peoples brains. Human beings are insufficiently_thoughtful_persons and other people are always going to take advantage of that. Every single book has a “first appearance” now too which has the same effect.
  4. Exactly. That’s why there will never be a “crash” like we saw back then. I’ve been listening to people say that the industry is doomed for at least ten years.
  5. It's impossible to compare the 90’s to today. It's such a different world where people in Australia or Japan can buy your comic book online in real time instantly. The world is a much smaller place and that makes the market so much bigger. I honestly think that this is just how the comic book “industry” is now Some people buy books to read. Some buy to ‘invest’. Some to flip. Some because there’s a movie or series coming out. People also have ALL the information available at their finger tips now, which includes all the risks and rewards of buying books. That wasn't the case in the 90’s. I really can't see the problem and the comparisons don't make sense to me.
  6. I know. I get it. Saying that “all your books are destroyed” is uncalled for though.
  7. Are you serious?
  8. Yep, same issue with my submission tracking too. I just presumed that it was hurricane related.
  9. Having lived through cyclones in northern Australia, I can tell you that these things are scary, life changing, and nothing to joke about. I’ve read a lot of posts on Facebook joking about books getting wet and asking if it will affect turn around times etc. I have a few books at CGC right now but I’m more worried about the people in Florida and their safety. Because, even though they’re on the other side of the world, it brings back the memories of sitting in my basement with my partner and my dog with a mattress over our heads for ‘protection’ and just hoping that we wouldn’t die. Please stay safe.
  10. Why does Gooses’ son dress and act the same as his dead father? Who does that except for a serial killer?
  11. Their TAT’s are great now. And I agree with the OP. I'd rather pay upfront and be done with it.
  12. Just picked up the action figure variant for cover on Ebay (Australia). But there's not many around.
  13. Didn't do a pre-screen. The money is just sitting there waiting to be taken, and I’m pretty sure they won't forget 😂
  14. I haven't submitted for a while so this is kind of a noob question... When my books have hit the Grading/quality control stage, how long do they stay there? I haven't been charged for one of my orders either which is weird, but I'm assuming that it will happen before they're shipped. Thanks for the help, Jamie
  15. Maybe they were on the motorbike revving the engine, but now they've gone full Fonzie.
  16. Is CGC about to jump the shark?
  17. Try living in Australa. Then you'll have something to complain about 😂
  18. The guy who runs Halo was an overstreet advisor and has been personally recommended in the overstreet guide. They’re a small operation but a good one. You'll never get the same resale value, but for books for your PC, they're great, and from what I've experienced, their grading is tight. I'd go with them before PGX.
  19. Why revival? I remember when they were hot year's ago but they fizzled out. Is there a reason why you're speculating on them now?
  20. I rang them this morning (my time) and the phone was answered very quickly. The gentleman I spoke to was very helpful and the issue is all sorted out now.
  21. I have been trying to contact CGC for the last couple of days to pay a payment that was bounced due the use of an expired credit card. I have a new credit card and all I want to do is one simple thing; Update my payment details. I’m in Australia so firstly, I have to ring just after midnight because of the time zone difference, and secondly, it is expensive for me to wait on hold for a long period of time just to be disconnected. I have also tried emailing accounts twice and received no response. I’m at my wits end. I have one particular book that I need to pay for now, and 7 others at CCS that I will have to pay for shortly. I HAVE the money and I have a card, but if I can’t contact anyone, how can I pay? Just to be clear, I’m not blaming anybody. I just want to pay for my book so I can have it sent to me. Can someone from CGC please contact me! either via PM, or in chat? I am more than happy to provide my new details online. Please help me fix this. Thank you, Jamie
  22. All sorted! sent an email through and it was changed pretty quickly.
  23. Does anyone have any idea where I could change my credit card details for payment of submissions? It's not that easy for me to ring as I am in another country and I was hoping to do it online but there doesn't seem to be a way to do this. I have two lots of submissions in and I don't want to slow down the process any more. Thanks! Jamie
  24. I’m glad you liked it also. I would also put it into my top 5 Marvel movies. I seriously can’t understand the negativity but I’d love to hear your theories on why you think it was disapproved by critics as they may align with my thoughts. I think that when the dust settles on this film, it will be regarded more highly that it is right now but regardless, I loved it and I encourage people to make up their own minds.
