  2. For any Spider-Man books, Kane/Romita. But on other stuff, both Janson and Tom Palmer did some great inking work over Kane's pencils. When Frank Giacoia inked Kane later, the results weren't as good, unfortunately.
  3. Giant Size Spider-Man #2 is Kane pencils with Romita inks, at least according to the Grand Comics Database. Spidey's and Chang-Chi's fingers are a dead giveaway for me. link Here's the MTU #5 for you:

  6. My earliest comic memories are the spinner racks at 7-11s and various drug stores. Although I probably didn't realize it at the time, a huge percentage of the Marvel covers were drawn by Gil Kane. I also didn't realize just how many dramatic, inventive, and memorable covers Kane drew in that period. So I figured it would be cool to have a thread dedicated to his work. I'm sure we'll be looking up a lot of noses, but here goes...
