  1. I almost pulled the trigger on the X-Box tonight as the Microsoft store had too good a deal to pass up. Turn in my old X-Box 360 to get $100 off the $329.99 Assassin's Creed bundle or the Lego Batman Bundle and then pick out a free game on top of that. Unfortunately the bay door of my 360 is broken and does not qualify for the trade in. Perhaps it is for the best. At Sony... the sales people were too busy doing "stuff" to be bothered to answer a couple of questions. Way to be... I will see what Santa brings...
  2. Do not be fooled by the speculators on this. This Batmobile may be sold out on Lego.com but is at the Lego Stores. The new store in the Flatiron District in Manhattan had them as did the one in Rockefeller Plaza. However, the prices at Manhattan Lego stores are slightly higher than other Lego stores and their online store.
  3. So basically... he is going from New York... to someplace else, only to come back to New York... I will have to figure out something cool for Kraven to do.
  4. Nintendo is at the very top right now when it comes to games. Super Smash Bros., Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart 8, DK Tropical Freeze, Hyrule Warriors, all this year, have all been praised. I actually just bought a Wii U because of the quality of games that have come out. Right now is the perfect time to buy a Wii U. In my opinion, at least at this very moment, Xbox and Playstation can't touch Nintendo when it comes to exclusive games Funny you mention that... I went out to Toys R Us just to get an overall view of what is out there. The Nintendo Wii U was tempting.
  5. Because while comic books ask you to get lost in their world, Lego asks you to create the world yourself. If you can envision it and figure out how to best put what you see in your mind together, you can build anything. Think of it as an artistic medium. Kav I want you to check this guy's stuff out. His name is Nathan Sawaya. http://brickartist.com/
  6. First up... before I go out and take a look around the Thursday madness is that someone spotted something peculiar in Lego's recent video announcement of their next modular house... In the advertisement they noted the nosecone of a recently rumored 2015 set... After some poking around, supposedly an official set number has been reached for the: LEGO Helicarrier Marvel Super Heroes 76042 Rumored Price Tag $350 Obviously a set for the adults... Rumored Lego Helicarrier
  7. I have a number of these things crawling over my desk. Those that know me here know that I have great affinity for the plastic brick, not as something to buy and sell, but as something that should actually be used. I get a few PM's every now and then concerning LEGO so I know that there is definitely some interest out there. After I came across an article posted in a few other forums, I figured I would make a post for all the Lego nonsense. So, for now...I will strictly keep it to Marvel, DC, Star Wars and other licensed posts...
  8. It is a year later... where do the three platforms really stand? Black Friday Deals are coming up.. X-Box 360 is "REALLY" on its last legs. I use the video game system to basically watch Netflix, stream youtube on the TV. If I get an X-Box I have no use nor interest in talking to the TV to get it to do things so it would be the basic model. As far as video games... COD, Lego versions a Batman or two.... Not a hardcore gamer in any sense of the word but every now and then I throw it on as I do not watch TV. Dream? If they were to import a Zelda or Mario game for an X-Box.
  9. For the original missions you enter the mission right as the selection rotates to something that you have not claimed yet. In the event missions it seems that you will enter the mission as the selection rotates to something after the item you have not claimed yet.
  10. For what it is worth, I read of others having similar issues in regards to many devices and not just scanners. In one case, the computer that was upgraded could not handle Yosemite. You are on the wrong forum for this though. Go here: Apple Discussion Communities Just be sure to state the make and model of your computer as well as the exact version of all software that you are using pertaining to your issue. Someone will definitely be able to help you there.
  11. Sold a gameboy game to company that created it which was kind of weird. I had it with the original instructions and the box so they may have wanted it for their archives. Sold a couple of old Disney things to a state senator. I cannot remember his name. I have the envelope somewhere.
  12. Buzz does take the pics with him wearing the shoes What people do with shoes that I was going to throw out anyway... is their business. However... I am not going to lie. I received some really out their questions from listing these. I pretty much ignore all of them. If you do this, you will see what I mean and just shake your head. If my old shoes are what someone wants... then whatever. I am tempted to list my toothbrush the next time I wear one out.
  13. Used? Yes - woke up to find another pair sold - $30 for the old worn out sneakers with the buyer paying to have them shipped to Australia.
  14. Hey... on a lighter note... Remember when I mentioned that I offer my old shoes and sneakers as a joke on eBay? We are talking like 'old'? Well... one pair sold tonight... Just saying.
  15. VueScan works like a charm and I think is probably worth purchasing. They seem to update it regularly and I haven't had a problem in the several months I've used it. My two cents on that X-Men scan is that the resolution is too low. I think it should be high enough so you can easily read the text on the label. Good point and I agree... 300 p/i However... I am going to keep playing with the scanner though.
  16. I've been playing with the scanner for the last hour balancing resolution of the scan vs how quick the device actually scans. As was suggested, silver and modern age books scan better than Golden Age books due to the depth of the Golden Age slab. I am still considering purchasing vuescan or the program in the app store as the HP software continues to experience some problems. The HP software will sometimes suggest for me to close down the program and restart and other times for me to restart everything after timing out. Here are scans of X-Men 266 at 150 pixels per inch.
  17. Get The Hood leveled up. With his constant stealing of AP he can speed up the time to you getting attacks while slowing down the opponent. My favorite character. Wolverine as Patch is my ace in the deck. I still like him better than the X-Force version. I have Patch at Level 166 4 Yellow, 4 Red and 5 Green . Black Panther and Captain America - Steve Rogers version are also, what I consider one of the most powerful in the game. I want to see how much of the purple stuff I can generate in a week, so right now I am up to 27,141 and am leaning on leveling up either X-Force Wolverine or the three star Magneto.
  18. Thoughts? Going to bed... this is with the HP software.
  19. My 8250 arrived... Obviously the HP software does not work as was suggested by other Mac users on this forum. So... Vuescan Basic for $29.99 or Vuescan Pro for $79.99 or Exact Scan (In Mac Store) for $79.99 Exact Scan Pro (In Mac Store) for $129.99 Let me know here or PM... curious to see what people use. I am using a Mac desktop OSX 10.8.5
  20. Approved... Thanks (thumbs u you better get us some rewards I wonder if I can share covers with any of you. I already Maxed out the Gold color cover Hulk, Black Panther, Patch Wolverine, Steve Rogers and a couple of others yet I still receive one of their covers every now and then. It would be nice to send that to one of you rather than cash it in for 500 of the purple stuff, which I can earn at any point.
  21. Nice buy. Lots of interesting history in those. And they are becoming harder to come by. I have obtained a few issues here and there but never seen a boatload.
