  1. You are going to be different and order one in red aren't you?
  2. Friend (board lurker) just brought this to my attention. In case any of you REALLY want to be a Winter Soldier... http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=84469&vid=1&pid=146639022
  3. I really cannot comprehend how Marvel can handle Quicksiler better than that. As far as the deleted scenes, I stopped buying DVD's Blu Rays, so I will have to wait until they are published online. Is there anything super special though that I am missing? I probably should read / reread the last 100 pages of this thread.
  4. You might have a LOT of alliance rewards coming your way. I play in the mornings or afternoons going to and coming from work. They also refunded me all of the coins that I spent on alliance spots as a surprise on Veteran's day. So I might be putting those coins back into the system.
  5. Nice Joe page, Recondo is certainly a figure I remember fondly, and Stalker was my first ever Joe - my dad brought it back as a gift after he'd been away for a month on military exercises. He had no idea what he started! Very cool page, congrats! Thanks... I am always looking for Marvel Joe pages and usually throw in whenever the opportunity presents itself but even more so when I see something that was of particular interest to me back then due to figures owned or first comics read. For some reason, despite the Marvel series adding up to 191 original issues, I do not see a lot of original art out there.
  6. Just finished watching it for the first time. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am guessing that the changes to the timeline with Wolverine in regards to how he gets his skeleton laced with adamantium and the how and why Jean and Scott are still alive is similar to Spock and the Abrams Star Trek series. Everything happened just a slight bit differently. All major events have occurred except for the one they were avoiding but just a tad bit differently. One thing I thought of was the idea that this film depicted an attempt of a course correction that could already have been trying to course correct a previous course correction. At the end of Wolverine 2 (The Wolverine) I was under the impression that Oliver Trask was alive and well. This would imply he did not die in 1973. So what happened between Wolverine 2 and DOFP? Perhaps the bleak future presented was due to Trask living. They send Wolverine back and Trask ends up dead at the hands of Mystique (not depicted in this movie). Now we have an even bleaker future. Wolverine goes back and Mystique is presented as a mutant who saves the others creating a warmer future where mutants are embraced. (which was depicted in this film.) Just my 2¢
  7. I have shared some stuff that I recently picked up and quietly tucked some other stuff away. Here is where I show my age... Picked up a page a few months ago from GI Joe 20 which was one of the first comic books I ever read let alone one of the first GI Joe books I ever read. That page featured Clutch in a solo story who was the first figure I ever received. Tonight there were a slew of vintage Joe pages up for auction that were ending on eBay tonight. I bet on all of them and would have taken any and all of them if I could. I wound up winning Page 16 from issue 38 featuring the introduction of Recondo and features Stalker. Recondo was the second Joe I ever received and the first I ever picked out. Stalker was the third. Woo hoo. 1984 was a magical year for toys. It was the second to last year of Star Wars and Jedi was still being pushed while the GI Joe universe was rocketing to eclipse all other lines and the Joe comic book was one of the most popular comic books around.
  8. Just picked up an 8250 on eBay. As I do not plan on upgrading from 10.8.5 just yet... we will see what happens.
  9. I suspect there is more to that story than a $5k value.
  10. You must have really handsome feet. Straight toes, no bumps or nothing deformed. But the buyers do not see that. They simply see that there are sneakers or shoes being worn without socks. Now the sandals however, you would see my toes. However, I just looked and I realized that I threw out my sandals since they were unwearable after I actually "blew out my flip flop." (thumbs u - It all started at a joke as to what WOULDN'T sell on eBay. The shoe challenge was issued and a buyer came forward. Since then various issued have been challenged with some being achieved, some cheated through finding a loophole (like will an empty box sell on eBay and I sold a vintage lego box with no parts in it since it was actually an empty box) and some challenges utterly failing.

  12. Let's talk about something more fun. I am thinking about listing all of my old shoes and sneakers on eBay once again to take advantage of sales opportunities for those into that sort of thing. Do I take the pics with my bare feet in the shoes or simply let the shoes speak for themselves without my feet in them? And by the way... before you all laugh... keep in mind that someone once bought my $10 flip flops for $50. What people do with my stuff after I use it is their own business. In the meantime while you ponder my inquiry, feel free to proceed with the previous discussion.
  13. I was looking for an Eternal Warrior #1 Gold Flat variant. After some serious searching, Jay helped me out at a more than fair price. I would do business with him here. I would do business with him elsewhere. Especially if you are a "valiantfan"
  14. *ahem* I have Mavericks (10.9.5) and the HP8250 and I can verify that it doesn't work natively. However it works fine with VueScan which isn't that expensive and will continue to be updated. My situation as well. You need VueScan because HP apparently stopped updating the Mac drivers. I appreciate the responses. Is there anything at all out there that does a decent job with a mac straight out of the box?
  15. Very pleased by this - my only complaint is that now he will most likely not show up in a Star Wars movie.
