  1. I don't "think" so because I don't have any larger ones to test. There is a small amount of space on the sides, but if I had to guess I would say 'no' these won't fit larger books like Golden age.
  2. I bag all of my CGC books. I don't use the bags that CGC provides, however. I use bags from hotflips which have the seal in the back.
  3. I made a separate post but thought some of you might like to see these here. They are from www.comiccubes.com
  4. I'm sure several of you are familiar with 'Comic Cubes' -- a website that builds custom storage solutions for several types of merchandise, including CGC graded comic books. Their site is at http://www.comiccubes.com I ordered one a couple months ago and it arrived yesterday on a palette, delivered from a shipping company. Item arrived in one piece, except for a small nick on the back of the cabinet. It isn't/wasn't worth making a fuss over. I'll just use a black marker to cover over the small piece of white showing. Each drawer holds 30 regular sized CGC comics. The cabinet comes with foam inserts (one for each drawer) so that your CGC books won't get knocked around. There is also a hard particle board resembling item (one for each drawer) -- not sure what thats purpose is. I've sent out an e-mail inquiring as to its expected usage. I opted for a 4x2 size, and with shipping it came out to approximately $1200. I'm very happy with the purchase. It's a nice piece of furniture and looks a lot better than the corrugated storage boxes that my books were housed in. It might not be for everyone, but as a personal collector it does a more than adequate job of housing my collection. I might pick up another one in the future, and at that point I'll be set for decades because I don't have nearly the quantity that some others on this board have. If you have any questions let me know, I'll be happy to answer them for you! Here are some pictures:
  5. From our very own @Artboy99, this guy was finished about a week ago, but Hurricane Irma prevented me from having any time to get pictures scanned in. Here she is in all her magnificent glory!
  6. Prime 1 puts out such great stuff! Their Serpentor is dynamite!
  7. As I was browsing through Facebook today I saw a trailer for a new comedy from Netflix titled 'Big Mouth' which deals with the subject of puberty. I was pretty shocked when there was a scene of a young girl with a mirror looking at her private parts, and then her *spoon* started talking. How is this acceptable? Is this not portraying children and their sexual parts? Is this the scum that passes for television now? I'm strongly considering writing a strongly worded letter to the company, but I doubt it will do any good :-)
  8. These will be the last two pieces for while. I've been spending way too much money lately :-) http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=29766
  9. That's a pretty considerable remark. I think this closing price is fair.
  10. I w ouldn't want the earthquakes knocking my collectibles over tho :-)
  11. If I can do anything to assist anyone in recovering funds let me know. This person has berated me and attacked me personally over petty subjects and I'd personally like to see him in jail for felony theft.
  12. I live in Tampa area as well, have for 40+ years. This is the first time I've been this scared of a storm. I'm really praying that this thing loses steam and loses steam quickly. My company might fly me out out a sister company in Connecticut but I'll be worried about my home and my friends and family here regardless.
  13. And not a 9.8, either. Not sure if pressing could get it there, but looks like a 9.4/9.6 with the corner dings and possibly small dent in middle of front cover.
  14. They are only making 100 of these, and I'm actually shocked they haven't sold out yet. They are beautifully made and in my opinion a more than fair interpretation of the 2-D original. https://www.level52studios.com/product/fls-cat-girl/ I hope I'm not overstepping by posting this here in addition to the Statues thread, but I know there are a lot of Frazetta fans who might not see this in other places.
  15. The references to books like Cherry are valid points. I'm not sure why CGC grades those. But I've been told in the past they won't grade Hustler magazines either.
  16. I'm not familiar with the cover art on Sex Criminals, but I know that Playboy is simply nudity. There's no spread open vaginas or penetration. Their is no comparison between Playboy and the XXX Savage Dragon cover.
  17. I don't see why CGC would grade it. It's pornography and clearly against their policy.
  18. They just announced they are only making 100 of these!
  19. This Frazetta statue just went up for sale today from Level 52 Studios. I think it's faithful to the original painting. Fair price, as well, in my opinion. https://www.level52studios.com/product/fls-cat-girl/
  20. This was actually a bargain to acquire; it was a 1:100 but the cover price was only a quarter.
