  1. My first post was in the selling area where I asked for advice on how to sell and grade my first 24 issues of TWD. After I wrote that I didn´t know how comic grading scales worked and after posting a couple of bad photos of # 1, I was impressed at the many nice and friendly PM´s I got.

  3. Wow. Read his description. "1 old spiderman figure from the 40's or 50's" Woops. Yeah, 50's. Back when Superman wore red Batman gauntlets. If you use the eBay Zoom feature you can make out the molded-in Bat symbol underneath the S-shield paint-over. Good luck and be careful. (thumbs u But he was quoted the price by an appraisor in Europe! Anyway, I asked him if there was anything written on the back to complete the "made .........a" sentence so I can try to pinpoint where it was made.
  4. It looks like a custom/crashed figure imho. The belt is Batman, the gloves are Batman. The boots could be from anything. Ditto the cape. You'd have better luck having boardie action figure experts try and identify the individual parts. Maybe. The torso/abdomen is very distinctive. Armor? Anyway, that unique design area may be your best indicator. Match that up to something and you'll know what figure was used. I was happy to find this image on Google image search +.It went to a Ebay auction so I was hoping to get some info. Instead I got more questions. I just sent him a question. http://www.ebay.com/itm/vintage-rubber-1950s-superman-figure-/221569999745? Is this price in any way realistic? I´m hoping it is.
  5. Got any links? Any idea of the decade of fabrication? I´m trying different Google image searches and nothing remotely similar yet. Having an estimate of when this might have been produced would help. My OCD won’t let this go. I put a lamp very close to the back of the figure and I can see that there is a last letter "A" after the "made" section. Seems the country name ends in A. Still leaves a lot of possibilities. .
  6. Sorry to post here if it´s not allowed, but it seemed by the title that someone would be able to help? I came across this yesterday and got it out of curiosity + the price was right. It´s around 25 cm high, made in rubber / plastic? The head is hollow and the remainder of the body is harder. The arms are articulated at the shoulder + the leg kinda rotates on the hips. On the back above the yellow belt I can read "made" but the rest of the letters are faded. Any pointers on this?
  7. It´s actually a bit freaky just how fast you came up with the list!
  8. I will be glad to help with this project! (That Michael Jackson cover is disturbing.... But disturbing in the way where I want it my collection...) Interesting about the links you supplied. The site is called MadMania and has a Brazilian ending. These are the same as the CollectMad site in the United States: http://www.collectmad.com/brazilcoversite/ I'll go through these and try to determine all the "Brazil originals" in the lists. The early issues should be easy for me because I have the U.S. versions memorized several times over. I might have to comb more carefully through the 1990s and 2000s issues, which came after I stopped paying close attention to Mad. Thanks. Check your PM and send me your address. I´m only interested in the first 2 Brazilian series and will be happy with the ones you can identify by memory. Thanks again for taking the time.
  9. I´m too lazy to do this as first option, so I though I might get one of the experts here to help me out before I have to do it. I´m thinking of selling Brazilian MAD magazines focusing torwards the US market. I think the ones that would have most interest would be the ones with covers not used in the US. This is where I could use some help, pointing out which ones. This is the first series published from 1974-1983 http://www.madmania.com.br/ed_vecchi.htm This is the second series published from 1974-1983 http://www.madmania.com.br/ed_record.htm Browsing through MAD magazines should be rewards enough But to make things more fun, I´ll be offering this disturbing Mad magazine + free shipping anywhere in the world to the one that commits to help me out with this. This is mag format, square bound, 50 pages. I´d grade it at 5.0 - Some waviness/wripples toward the spine
