Well it seems that conan 78 a red sonja book is also a WHITMAN Variant Now how to find one ? ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Edited Well this is a very very complicated topic Marvel DID print some books with a Whitman label But basicaly Whitman was a reseller who packaged the books in bags for sale in stores (marvel) So its safe to say 99.99% of the diamond labled books were a marvel direct sale book or a second print for distabution through secondary meens ? The internet and ebay seems to lable everything Whitman and is mostly wrong ? Pure speculation about the printing of marvel feature v2 issue 4 and 5 I have read that marvel printed the pence books early to ship over to uk now if you look close at the 30 cent price varients you see that they are identical to the pence versions in the price area So would it not be logical that they were printed at the same time ? So they print a few thousand for uk a few thousand for california and other price increase areas and few more thousand more for mark jeweler near army bases then a bunch for everywere else ? Now how do I find were these were printed other than printed in usa? and print runs ? Any ideas ?

Joe has a first print Gyro has a second print Rich has a first print Wizard has both Jason has a first print Rocky has a first print ----------------- It may be fair to figure that Rich acounts for all the ss in first and second print that would make all 4 regular first print acounted for and 2 out of the 5 second print acounted for ? OMG dont get me started on the #3 on HA !!!! Ok I cant control myself ! In january it was all by its self living the good life its owner a happy person Then the devil made his move and 2 more apeared to to upset the perfect universe ! OOO the shame of it all was to much for the owner so he rushed to HR and put it up ! Angels WEPT ! Well A lot bid on it including myself ! The Devil made his moves on me !! I was so weak ! The devil hes a sly one got the other bidder to out bid me ! So I was again out bid and the other person payed with fees over 180 more than I got another one on ebay month later !! Mercy ! $300 is more than the price it sells for on another page ? earlyer on ebay a 33 sold for 224 then at auction 240 If this and the 24 go way above normal prices its looking like conan with red sonja may be taking off in high grade finaly ! This will be a fun auction to watch even though the books went over my budget !

Would be a good Idea if some one started a Sonja thread in *mixed age* as most of the Sonja books exist after 1980 and the most sexy covers definetly come in the 90s and on ! Its very hard to colect bronze age Sonja in high grade because of the very low # of books in CGC Cross your fingers for another pedagree to apear soon And it is very sad at how cheep the ray books are sold for ?
