  1. I wouldn't necessarily disagree with this. Dr. Strange was too... generic. And I had a hard time recognizing the character I grew up reading in comic books. It was an okay movie; not terrific but not bad. Luckily we are getting GOTG2 which should be different enough from the Marvel movie formula to make it interesting. I have to ask, have they introduced the sentient cape into the comic yet? It is too bad Marvel isn't embracing their history (I wanted Mandarin in Iron Man III) but instead are cowtowing to political correctness. We got Mandarin in Iron Man 3, and the more I see it on reruns the more I like the twist with the character. It was a much more interesting version of the character than the stereotype comic book original created for 12 year old's. I can not stress how awful Iron Man 3 was to me. Just a horrible movie. I will point to the ridiculous scene of the tech guy in the van with Tony's face tatoo'd on his arm. Please Hollywood, stop with this garbage. I thought that was funny. I don't have any problems with IM3 - it was entertaining enough. Agreed! I know so many guys that tattoo could have been.......
  2. I'm the semi-bored a-hole somewhere in between these two opinions. I did only pay $5.75 at matinee and smuggled my own hot tamales in..... Some of my thoughts...
  3. Right at the bottom. Underneath where the wind is blowing her skirt up. Is that black kitty I see?
  4. I'm following to see if the brain-trust in this thread will solve the deficit problem, or the mystery known as Donald Trump's hair
  5. Another analogy- the team of Batman and Robin is known as "The Dynamic Duo" right? Anybody dispute that......... Okay then..... When were they first called "The Dynamic Duo"? Is that their first appearance?
  6. Excuse me, friend of Jesus? Could you speak about women in some way that doesn't reduce them to a sexualized body part? We're trying to make this hobby an inclusive one, so let's act as if people of all kinds may be checking this forum out. Pretty sure Jesus didn't talk that way about women. Hey Guys, Lighten up Francis. I want you to meet Jimbo. Jesus' tush lovin' friend! I am thoroughly amused at how this thread has brought out the snippiest of attitudes. Seriously, who cares!!! This is about the TEEN TITANS.............. who gives a @#$% I have no dog in this fight and read it for the pure enjoyment...... and to see how many idjets deny their 1st appearance 60

  8. I finally saw this movie. I liked it! Had a good old Marvel feel to the characters. That's the key to this one. Not massive fights, world ending armies, or super God-like aliens. Just a guy with good intentions you are pulling for.
  9. Didn't reread the whole thread but I think Poltergeist has an issue of Captain America being read by the boy in bed.
  10. "It leaves the golden goose alone or it gets the hose again" Yikes! Put the friggin' Purple Label in the basket Lady!
  11. Funniest part of cap 2 - Garry Shandling whispering to Agent Sitwell "Heil Hydra" That was just so funny on so many levels Garry's pretty big now. I think he was saying "Hail Hydrox!" How about: "You cut off the head, and Garry Shandling will eat it"
  12. DP, Those Thors look to be in beautiful high grade. What would you say is the average grade? Congrats! That's some mighty find collecting.
  13. Jeremy bought a book from me and is easy to communicate with and paid quickly!
  14. All I could find was... The prop 10-cent "CREEPSHOW" comic book featured in the film was drawn and inked by veteran artist Jack Kamen, one of the artists for the original E.C. crime and horror comics of the 1950's. Creepshow was a tribute to these comic books. Jack Kamen also created the comic book-style poster for the film, which was also featured on the front of the Plume "Creepshow" comic book adaptation (which Bernie Wrightson, another prolific horror comic artist, drew and inked the interiors for). Originally, (Stephen King wanted Graham Ingels, another EC artist (famous for his work on the title "The Haunt of Fear") to do the artwork for the film's poster, but he refused. It was head of EC comics William M. Gaines who then suggested Jack Kamen do the assignment. Kamen accepted. Wow talk about a scarce book! Great job of research.
  15. Not sure which book, but wasn't there a kid being chastised for comic reading in "Creepshow" the movie?
  16. Given the prior 9.8's, this should have graded a 10 purely on principle. we should beat the grader who graded those other copies...with reeds.. I'd rather be beaten with sues....... makes my silver surfer rise
  17. HaHa, exactly what I thought of when first seeing the "Toilet book" great clip! Rebecca DeMornay looks way better than ever!
