Gladstone ended up at 3/4 of a short box. Mostly from the mid- to late-1980's. Got about 6-7 different Star Comics #1s and some of the He-Man issues as well. Bronze Thor & Defenders, tons of random stuff (including that Santa book that Jim Lee first worked on, the Daffy Quaddafi parody book, Revelers - Greg Horn's first work), plus more. It really was a LOT of fun to go through everything these past two days, and I still have yet to go to the guy's house to see the stuff he pulled to price. That should be exciting.

    Peace,

  2. Thanks everyone. Went back today and bought about about 300 more books, including a low-grade FF #45, Avengers #54 & #59, two copies of HTD #13 and lots of other stuff. Found 10 copies of the Deadpool Circle Chase mini #1 as well as another copy of the 1997 series #1. Filled up one whole shortbox with Gold Key & Whitman & Gladstone stuff...lots of Scrooge. More mid-to-higher grade Marvel Bronze as well as some wacky stuff from the early 1990's (more Spawn #1s and #9s too). Scored quite a few of the rarer Acclaim Valiant books also (including Magnus #64). I made my sacrifice to the drek gods with purchases of a couple copies of Unity #0 and #1. :)

Pics coming later...I'm exhausted after 6 hours straight of flipping through comic boxes.

    Peace,

  3. Went to look at a bunch of comics today and had a nice score. Bought about 200 comics and found a lot of nice stuff, including New Mutants #98, Superman Adventures #5, three copies of the 1988 Action #1 reprint, some nice Bronze Age, multiple copies of smaller keys (1st Blink, 1st Maleketh, Booster Gold #1, Web of Spider-Man #118, Spawn #9) and there were boxes I didn't even get to go through. I probably should have bought all the Whitman and Gold Keys he had because they were cheap, but I suppose I can head back tomorrow.

  4. ...he's got an absurdly per-movie box office gross record (Terminator, Aliens, True Lies, Apollo 13, Twister, Titanic) but no one _ever_ goes to see a flick because he's in it.

Check out John Ratzenberger some time...he's #1 in this category. ESB, Superman, Superman II, all the Pixar movies...he's the king.
