  1. Kudos right back at ya! True to his word and really easy to work with. I only wish i had some high grade Ghost Riders left to sell him.
  2. A couple overdue kudos: 4gemworks - shipped a sweet graded ASM 98 unbelievably fast. Really nice guy and easy to wrk with. Rob React - Awesome BIN price on a spot-on graded ASM 97.
  3. Much props to Darth for sending me a graded book on trade for raw books I had sight unseen.... You really can't go wrong with Darth ever...even with the Bush Ladies Home Journal Propaganda he likes to stuff his shipments with.
  4. I think they would only deduct in extreme cases, OR if you are dealing in super high grade water. So maybe a 9.6 would end up a 9.4. But you know - I recall seeing a 9.6 with a fairly significant production crease that was posted here a while ago - so who knows? I would say, though, that a production crease is very easy to identify as a production defect, and while I agree with your assessment of the defects on your books, I am not 100% sure, and any time there is doubt like that, it makes me nervous.
  5. People I have bought from or sold to:(all VERY positive) Comicmankev Darthdiesel Dr.Banner FlyingDonut Greggy Hogations Lighthouse Osborn-France Polyphemus Supapimp
  6. I think that would be the board's "Silver-Age"

  10. I collect dust and my wife still has a working Atari 2600 from the early 80s with about 100 games. I do have about 4 swords - real ones - so I guess Ikinda collect those - though not really.
  11. Jim Owlsey/Christopher Priest
  12. Hey, hey!....I don't necessarily think it will either - just explaining why it is going so high.
  13. That is the Special Edition that has the different cover and only 200 were printed. These have sold for well over $500 in the past 4 months or so.
  14. Let's not forget the infamous procrustean scan stealing scandal... The Meth/supapimp war... the caveman spearchucking game.... shuley beating up gman and making him bleed all over his hardwood floors... Thats all I can remember in my novacaine induced haze....rootcanals suck...
  15. Arch - Where'd you come from!!!! I thought you were on vacation. Get some coffee...you sound a little grumpy.
  16. Why thank you, sir. I had no other way to describe the incredible crappiness ofthat act...
  17. that really sucks... Also - I think Master of Kung Fu(NOT played by Jackie Chan or Jet Li - maybe Jason Scott Lee who can actually act) would be awesome. It would literally be like the Kung-Fu James Bond. I think that could actually be better than Black Panther.
  18. I hear what you are saying.... But I think Black Panther is truly one of the deepest characters Marvel has ever turned out. I don't think some racial issues would be bad, either. if it follwed something similar to the "Enemy of the State" storyline - lots of cool intrigue and political stuff. Depends on how someone did it - but either EOTS or The Client storylines would most likely keep the "racial stuff" under control.
  19. I think maybe a larger, more overlooked number of these books are probably in big boxes in mom and dad's attic that Johnnny left at home when he went away to college, the Army, whatever , and forgot about. Seriously, I would guess there are thousands of copies out there where this has happened. There are a lot of people out there(mom and dad) that think the only worth those comics have is nostalgia and memories, and wouldn't even think about trying to sell them. Plus a lot of those people also probably have never even seen eBay to try and unload them. And if that is the case, they definitely won't know what cgc is... Not saying thats the largest segment of where those 202,000 copies are, but I would bet it's probably a decent sized number.
  20. Superman is a pretty tough role to cast for. Hartnet might work only because he has the square jaw thing. A better casting might be Edward Norton.. he can bulk up(American History X) and is a phenomenal actor. He would have to dye his hari and stuff...but I think he would make a good, albeit darker, Superman.
