  1. 2.0 tops, but what a cache, truly every comic hunters haul. I've done a few "clean outs" only things I've come away with were a mig welder that needed some work, a game cube that didn't work and fear of been infected with some variation of the plague from the nastiness encountered in the clean up.
  2. Looks 6.0-ish, but I'm not sure how much that foxing and dust shadow would bring it down.
  3. Great story on the acquisition. Wish I would have been more insightful back in the 80's when I started collecting to get an AF15. As far as your book, IMO, I would leave it as it is. If it's delicate, I wouldn't press it. I'm not a fan of signed books per se, but if the book has potential of being dubbed as brittle, a signature might help if you decided to sell it. I have a key book (not quite of this caliber) that I became "star struck" or had that "eureka" moment because of the opportunity to own such a book. Little did I realize that a some finger print ink smudges would be detrimental to desirability of said key, but alas, it has become an issue when I present the book for sale. I've been contemplating getting Stan to sign it, but I just don't like the big blob of mess his signature often appears to be. Again, my 2 pennies. Oh yea, grade, I'd go 2.5 - 3.0 on this one.
  4. Given what you've got there I'd go 3.0-3.5. Could change depending on what the spine looks like along the back cover as it's got a bit of a roll. Cool find regardless, nice Tick Dracy you have there.
  5. Roger is a class act and very personable. Paid promptly and listened to probably more than he wanted to hear. Enjoy the book. Best in all, Roger.
  6. This show is flat out awesome. I'm late to the game, but am on episode 11 hoping to finish season 1 today. At least I didn't have to endure the impatient anticipation for season 2 for so long. Digging Karen's pencil skirts too, bow_chika_wow wow.
  7. AF 15 is the big void. I could have one if I sold off my keys, but then I hate selling my books b/c I know I'm not going to get them back, at least not at the price I want to pay. So, I have first apps of cool characters, but not the one for my childhood fave.
  8. Should Sartre's post be considered reverse thread pooping? What an amazing trio of books that totally overshadow my membership. Sold my #1 many moons ago.
  9. I'm shocked, it's been 16+ hours and no obligatory "tree fiddy"? Guess I'm the weiner. That said, deuces wild!!! ugh carpy camera on my phone.
  10. Asking more for books is the reason these aren't still cover price. No one here is ever going to have a problem with someone asking more for a book than they paid. There's nothing unethical about that. No need to disclose the purchase price at all. In this case the link to the auction result was not to show the price paid as much as it was to show the disparity in description between the auction and the seller and only after he confirmed, when questioned directly regarding the missing chunk out of a page, that the book was entirely complete. If the two descriptions matched exactly you wouldn't have seen any link to the auction description at all, and the book might have been sold by now. To me that's a valuable lesson in the rewards of being forthright and the penalties for rounding off the edges on disclosure. Takes me back to when I listed a book. I was asked how long I owned the book. When I said over a decade, the jerk became belligerent that I paid considerably less than I was asking. Uh yeah a decade ago, prior to any movie hype and new found love for the character.
