  1. Fugtussey, Thank you for sharing that info! I will definitely appreciate this in my PC. It is by far the coolest fanzine I have (of course, I don't have more than a handful).
  2. I don't have a whole lot of fanzines in my collection, but, here is something I picked up for $1 on FCBD this past Saturday. It is Fandoms Special #1 from 1965. What is really cool is by the images is states, "Traced by Bruce Cardazo". It covers write-ups of AF15, ASM 1 - 23, and ASM Annual 1. It was kinda cool reading about the culture at that time. Stating that ASM1 was floating around everywhere you went and how he had two of them. Does anyone know anything about this fanzine? I haven't really found any info online.
  3. Brent is a great seller. Great communication. Books as described. And, most importantly in this transaction with him, a superb packager!!! I bought three books from him. And, due to some circumstances on my end concerning my moving, the package went to the wrong address, and bounced back and forth to Tampa for over a month before I finally got the books. And, the packaging held up nicely. The books in terrific shape! Thanks again Brent!!!
  4. Bought a couple books from Mike in his $2/$3 sale. Books got to me <2 days after I paid. Not a big deal? Went from California to Florida!!! Super packaging as well...oh, and the books, yeah, they nice too!
  5. Bought four books from Randall last week. 1. Great communication? CHECK 2. Friendly? CHECK 3. Fast Shipment? CHECK 4. Excellent Packaging? CHECK CHECK 5. Books as described or better? CHECK CHECK Thanks again Randall!!!
  6. Here is a surprise find at a local flea market type shop here in Florida...JLA #217 So Much Fun. Found it for 50 cents. Had to do a double take while going the "dollar" box.
  7. I bought 3 books from Mike in the last VCC. Second time I've bought books from him. Superb packaging! Condition exactly as listed! Great communication...that is when he doesn't "accidentally" delete my PMs. Look forward to purchasing from him in the future. Thanks again! Scott
  8. Bought some books from Frank at the VCC XXVIII a couple weeks ago. He was great to deal with. Friendly, great communication, fast shipping. Books arrived safely and just as described. Thanks again Frank!!!! Scott
  9. I wasn't at home when I posted...but, these are b/c you asked so nicely. Here is how it looked in the glass showcase: Here is the Conan #1: Here is a Marvel Collectors' Item Classic #1 that was in there: The other two books were a Classics Illustrated #24 & Mars Patrol #6.
  10. Had a small score last night. Went to a local peddlers mall where I never find any good books. In one of the galas cases were 3 ziplock bags. Two of the bags had Spider-Woman books.. 5 for $10. Pass! The other ziplock had "5 comic books from 1960s for $5". I took a peek inside to find Conan #1. Sold! Not a fantastic copy but a nice VG copy. Definitely made the trip worthwhile.
  11. Bought Warlord #1 & 1st Issue Special #8. Books just as described. And, great packaging. Also, thanks for the freebies! Look forward to buying from again. Thanks Paul!!!!
  12. I got her the best gift of all....LOVE!!!! P.S. She is getting an iPad.
  13. Posted this in the Bronze forum yesterday, but, thought I might share here as well I had a pretty good week this week on a trade. A guy listed on Craigslist that he wanted to trade a bunch of comics for a Nintendo DSi. So, I took my daughter's hot pink DSi and 4 games and traded it to him for all of the following comics. Most of these are in the VF-NM range. Apparently, his uncle gave them to him a few years ago and he never did anything with them. BTW, I did get my daughter's approval to trade away her DSi. And, the guy was happy and I am happy with the trade. 15. I was thinking Star Comics might be the modern, um, I mean copper, day equivalent of Whitman. Figure if I can pick up VF or better copies for $1 or less, I can't be doing too bad.
  16. Just flipping thru some comics I bought yesterday at HPB. One was Air Raiders #1 by Star Comics. I know Star Comics was Marvel's line aimed at kids in the 1980s. Pulled it out of the 25cent bin. I think I'm going to start grabbing these when I see them for $1 or less in nice condition. My questions: How common are these? How common are they in higher grades? Does anyone collect them? Thanks
  17. Bought a Marvel Premiere #47 from Andrew at the last VCC for a great price. I had been looking for a nice copy for a while and finally found one. Great communication and superb packaging. The item was just as described. Thanks Andrew and I look forward to buying from you again!
  18. Bought a couple of books from Robert in the last VCC. And, can I say, I got a great deal on a couple of books I have wanted for a while. Robert was extremely friendly. He had great communication. Let me know when he was going to ship. Let me know once he sent out the items. When I received the books, they were superbly packed! Plenty of cushion, stability, and protection. And, best of all, the books were just as he described...maybe even a little better! Love the books and hope to buy from you again Robert!
  19. Out of curiosity, what does WRC&S stand for? Or, is the R supposed to be a D? In which case, nevermind.
  20. Comicopolis, Thanks for the link! That was way more information than any like I found. And, by far more informative. nmtg9, Can't wait to see the catalog of pence images. If you need Nova 8, I got it for ya! Scott
  21. Does anyone have any information on Marvel All-Colour Comics? The info I find on the web is kind of sketchy. And, searching the forum archive, I can't find anything. If anyone has a link to a previous thread, that would be much appreciated. I was hoping my research would go a little better and maybe provide a list of all the Marvel All-Colour Comics titles. I did search the St. Louis Variant Mafia site, and couldn't really find anything either. Anyway, the reason I ask is I found a Nova #8 (12p) at Half Price Books today. And, since it was 20% off today, thought I'd just go ahead and buy it and do some research later. Thanks in advance.
