  1. Tough because a picture can be interpreted differently. Nonetheless got mine in
  2. Spirou 1392 Smurfs Christmas wrap-around cover December 1964 in VG rolled spine. Can't find what it's sold for recently. $45
  3. Three Dimensional E.C. Classics #1; Rough shape but complete. I do know with certainty the book is rare in any condition because the paper was awful. Includes the original 3D glasses both still attached to the book. Cover is barely attached and I can't guarantee it will stay long. Pieces missing and some come included. Rare book from 1954. I paid $30 back in 1985. I have only taken the book out of the bag twice. Asking $180
  4. Fiction House Jungle Comics #73 purchased here on the boards as a Fine- Very Fine fold right corner (thru the "e" in Jungle to the mask. 1946 Bondage Cover $105
  5. First "take it" in the thread wins even if I'm in the middle of a negotiation. PM's are ok. I prefer check or MO but Paypal is ok. Trades are good too! Payment within a week of the "take it". Returns for almost any reason are ok within two weeks. Only exception is damage created by the buyer. You break you bought it sort of thing. I use Gemini mailers (1st class mail) for single books $8 and Priority mail boxes for shipping more than 2 books $15. USA only because of the difficulty of customs forms yada yada yada. No probationary members and no to the 2 bad people I have on ignore. I've bought and sold on the boards for at least 10 years. Any questions let me know. Three books for now. More if I get a response.
  6. Got this off my want list at Comic Link's auction last night for $200 under FMV. Super excited to have it. My #40 finally has company
  7. Just watched this movie on EPIX last night and it was good. A lot better than I thought it would be. Funny throughout... Loved playing the game on Sega Genesis and so did my son. If anyone missed it check it out. Definitely worth a look.
  8. After I hit grading I get a terms acknowledgment and it tries to load tier pricing but stops. I read an earlier post that said to click on the lower left A and then reset but it did not work for me. Thanks
  9. Made me laugh. Thats awesome... In the early 1990's, I was in my early 20's, I'd have girlfriends over. Even though I had 10 or so long boxes of comics stacked in my room, they would get ignored, but my Heather Thomas poster in her pink bikini would always get them talking. sorry If you sell I hope you do something fun with your well deserved $. Bucket List time
  10. Wow you have a collection most would give anything to have. Hard to give advice to someone I should probably listen to. I wouldn't sell unless you are in some sort of hardship or see another opportunity to "invest" into something that would give the same kind of pleasure. I sold all my Avengers and FF collection for an epic long-range fishing trip out of San Diego and don't regret it a bit (now I probably could have gone on two trips). I think like a lot of others on here that the books I have in my collection give me a special kind of comfort and joy that only I understand. My wife of 26 years could care less. My son on the other hand loves it the way I do so it all goes to him. Anything I sell (usually duplicates) whether $1 or $10,000 goes to finding issues I am missing. Good luck!
  11. My collection of CGC graded books seems to be growing a lot lately. I've already filled up 5 Hot flip boxes full and was wondering about hiding some in an old cedar chest. Anyone have any experience storing in Cedar? Thanks
  12. I never said he should sign the book. Just owning the book would give it a pedigree and a label if submitted to CGC. Nick Cage pedigree is an example.
  13. If Chris Evans purchased the Captain America 9.4 that Heritage is currently auctioning wouldn't he immediately add to the value of the book? I can see it adding up to 50% or more to the value of the book. I'm sure he doesn't need the money right now but what if Adam West bought Batman 1 at the height of his career? How cool would it be to own Chris Evans copy of CA? or Adam West's Batman? Looking forward to hearing what people think...
  14. I have a single modern comic book submission that was received on December 9, 2021 for a press and grade. What's a realistic time frame given the current turn around times to get this book back? Could it possibly be later than new years?
  15. I have been a Batman fan and avid reader since 1985. I've read 1000's of Batman related comics. I have a pretty good collection because of when I started. I never did what people do now with buying key 1st appearances and cool covers. I bought to read and collected multiples of issues I liked (up to 50 copies). I've seen the original 43' movie, all the tv shows and all the modern movies. Of course, this is my opinion, but I loved the movie. I thought Robert pretty much nailed the role. I thought the casting throughout was great. Jeffery Wright was perfect as Gordon. John Turturo and Collin Farrell were also perfect. Paul Dano had some instances of over acting but what a great improvement from the awful Jim Carey. I even enjoyed Catwoman for once. I loved the Detective aspects and the noir vibe mood of the movie, Special effects were awesome. Bullets finally sound like bullets impacts and blows were spot on. I think the way Gotham was depicted was perfect this time: grimy dirty dangerous. I would very highly recommend especially in Dolby surround or IMAX. I will see it again in the theatre and buy it when its released.

  17. I think it is Ryan. I have a couple of books that I claimed. I haven't been asked to pay yet.
  18. Two weeks of waiting with not one offer. I priced all of the books on the low end of the spectrum. So far, this hasn't worked for me. Buying from My Comic Shop was always enjoyable, but this has been
  19. STARWARS HIGH REPUBLIC # 1 VARIANT 1/10 $ 12.00 STARWARS HIGH REPUBLIC # 1 WALMART VARIANT $ 8.00 please add to my books
  20. In the past couple months, I submitted two Spider-man 1 poly bagged versions 1992 and 3 Morbius the living vampire # 1's. I sent in all 5 five books still sealed in their poly bags. I did not have any of the books pressed because of the ridiculous turn-around times. That was a big mistake. The two Spider-man books were returned 9.2 with the exact same grader notes. CGC did not return the poly bags but correctly identified them as the poly bag version. The 3 Morbius # 1's all came back with a 9.4 grade with the exact same grader's notes. All three of the poly bags and the original posters were returned with the graded books. I have a couple hundred books in my collection from that 90's poly bag trend (Batman Shadow of the Bat 1 and X-Force 1). I put them all in bags and boards and they all have the same storage creases. You have to spend the money to press out the storage crease.
