  1. Bought a couple of books from him. Shipped well, good price, great guy!
  2. Purchased a couple of Mickey Mouse books. Came shipped to withstand the apocalypse and then some! Great communication, great seller!
  3. Awesome! Glad to see people getting off and not on.
  4. You do realize you have posted a photo containing your home address, right? Fudge If it means anything at all, I did receive my books from that thread quite a while ago. Might be he truly is having some problems. Regardless, hope he is fine.
  5. Very very helpful! Thanks a ton for that You're very welcome. You should check out the pulp thread in Gold to see some really cool stuff and really very affordable compared to a lot of SA and GA. Will do! Wish there was a pulp selling section here on the board because I've never seen them for sale in the normal gold silver bronze market place
  6. Very very helpful! Thanks a ton for that
  7. I was looking around on ebay for some of these pulps but the prices are very erratic. How much should someone pay for one of these? Well it depends. Do you mean this particular issue, which is a key (1st Conan)? Do you mean Weird Tales issues in general or just issues with Conan and Robert E. Howard content? Pulp prices are actually very stable. Any variance in price you see is likely due to the same basic reasons some comics are worth more than others. Grade, scarcity, content, classic covers, etc. While I couldn't find any of that exact one, 1st conan, I saw some with sw Robert e Howard stuff, and some where hundreds of bucks for a beat up pulp, and some were not so much. I have never bought a pulp so I am out of the loop

  9. Wow. Those look awesome. I unfortunately don't buy things in that high of a grade even if I did have money
  10. just purchased this today from a boardie A beat up copy but hopefully it qualifies for membership entrance
  11. I was always opposed to this idea Mike, but more and more it makes sense to me. Will it stop someone who's willing to make a bunch of posts or wait the required time? Perhaps not ,but it would allow us to get a cut of their jib and it would give them an opportunity to learn about this place and perhaps learn the rules and culture. Spot on. + 3. +4 On another forum I am a member of there is at least a week waiting period + a t least a 20 post count before you can post your own thread in the marketplace. Doesn't seem to really be too many bad experiences there, but it is a much smaller community.
  12. I thought the show was awesome! I love Patrick Warburton... Nice books everyone! The show was decent enough, but after loving the comic for so long, it just didn't feel right. Patrick Warburton was born to play that role however.... I can see where you are coming from. Patrick Warburton is the man though, and the show was worth watching (all what 6 episodes of it? ) just for him.
  13. I'm glad you're making some attempt to work with the buyer. I give you a great deal of credit for that. I must say, without any attempt at hostility, that I can't agree with your overall position. First, this is a small community and your reputation is everything. For every beaver watching this thread there are a dozen curled up in their dams taking notes. Second, selling 'as is' is a non starter for me. If I sell something and the buyer is unhappy I will do whatever it takes to fix the problem. I've had two occasions where I've refunded $$ so far. The first was a book damaged when the box was crushed in transit - I gave him a full refund and told him to keep the book. The second a low grade AF15 came back restored - I refunded his money, his express grading fees and all of his shipping costs from me to him, to CGC, back to him and finally back to me. It sucked but it's how I would want to be treated. Also, if you're gonna try to sell 'as is' you should provide a back cover scan. Give them all the information you can. Lastly, it's crystal clear that the buyer isn't struggling with buyer's remorse. He wanted this book in high grade and he's not happy with the copy you sold him. It's possible that it was damaged in shipping but it's more likely you missed the spine tics or you're not as fussy a grader as him. And having a witness doesn't mean anything. You could have 10 people look at this book but unless they've made many high grade submissions to CGC their opinion doesn't mean much. I am one of those beavers curled up in my dam. dam nice of you to post I see what you did there
