  1. Also nize - never seen this one before (didn't even know about it). (thumbs u
  2. A little late, but I've never seen an X-Factor #71 2nd that ISN'T a newsstand edition. Didn't look very hard, did you?
  3. You can own one now . . . Oh, and btw, it's the same art. SOLD! Wow. He should almost feel guilty. Almost. congrats divad, but I think you left some money on the table. http://www.ebay.com/itm/301194958073?ssPageName=STRK:MESOX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1561.l2649 I always seem to leave money on the table . . . and mine's a nicer copy too!
  4. You can own one now . . . Oh, and btw, it's the same art. SOLD! I believe the saying is "...one born every day"? I dunno, it's a beautiful copy. Only time will tell. Frankly, I'm shocked that the #5 is still available, considering what lesser copies have sold for over the last week.
  5. You can own one now . . . Oh, and btw, it's the same art. SOLD! Wow. Yeah, I know.
  6. I found my ASM #129 CGC 9.6 double cover the same way but through a local seller. He was a reseller so I'm 99% sure he didn't know what he had either. And I wouldn't have known had I not taken it out and looked through it like you did. I seriously think this happens quite often with double covers. Every one that I have found started with holding the book, and instinctively thinking, "this doesn't feel right - it's too heavy". Often, while not stuck together, the two covers have not been separated (possibly ever).

  8. I would think that book would have to be an SS books to sell well. You can still find some core X-men collectors that want a 9.8, but an SS would do very well. Raw it just isn't in demand a whole lot anymore looks like it pulls around $8 in NM. ...even less than that, I'm afraid. http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Uncanny-X-Men-248-1989-NM-9-4-White-Pages-1st-Jim-Lee-Artwork-/221432421132?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item338e669b0c Peace, Chip Looks like $9.57 to me. And he did say NM (not VF/NM).
  9. LOVE when that happens! It must have been an awesome copy in hand for you to buy it. Maybe a 9.8 OC / 9.9 IC? I'd price it at twice the going rate.
  10. You can own one now . . . well played What if I hit the BIN and then we find out she's in #3? (Runs to longbox)

Raw it just isn't in demand a whole lot anymore looks like it pulls around $8 in NM. I don't disagree, but I am of the opinion that any 30-year old NM book should be worth more than $8. ANY.

  13. They ALL start like this. I sold my 9.6 IH #181 at an 8900% increase in price. (And I think your math is way off btw). May 25 Superman Adventures #5 eBay Prices: $95, $76.11, $137.50 (all include #4 and AC 835), $71 (from Ireland) and $89.99, $90, $85.99, $99.09, $74.99. I used $1 for the early March price and $90 for the price on eBay on Sunday. The three sold listings for the book on March 22 went for $3.49, $0.91, and $1.49. If you average those prices, I guess it was a $2 book. What were the bought/sold prices and timeline on your IH #181? $.25 July 1975 to $2200.00 June 2002
  14. So says the Juggernaut. And he is most often spot on!

  16. Seriously, didn't even pull this title out of the longboxes, never mind #13.
  17. 99.999999999% - All of us except MrWeen and the guy who just listed SA #4 on eBay for $99. I see two other copies listed at $79 and $29 so we will see how this one plays out. Mine's going up tonight!

  19. so I wonder how much the first graded 9.8 will sell for. I am waiting for one to pop up. Surprised there hasn't been someone who got one graded at a con or something. I am going to guess $200. $225 easy.
  20. Why? Surely you jest. Just look at the front cover again. Sold!
  21. My Omega Red pick is still What if 33. It came out the same month as X-Men 4. Unless X-men 4 is an absolute gem and a newsstand I see no reason to buy it. Omega Red aside, What If #33 is a great ish! (thumbs u
