  1. Do people actually pay a premium for miscuts? I have a flawless Wolverine (1988) #1 that has a pretty obvious miscut. I always assumed it might hurt the grade/value. My LCS in the 90’s thought so as well. I bought it for a dollar.
  2. Everyone is talking about what CGC is going to do, but this is Blackrock’s baby now. They will not loose money unless forced to. Not a single thing will be done about this without national attention. That means national news coverage, federal investigation, lawsuit…. anything short of that and this goes under the rug.
  3. I feel like it would benefit from an animated series first, similar to what Invincible has done. Manga/Anime is all the rage with the current generation. My kids have little interest in reading comics, but can’t get enough of black and white, right to left reading manga. Why? My observation is that EVERY mildly successful manga has an anime. The interest starts with the anime. And after years and years of slowly building that fan base, we’re on the cusp of a floodgate of English language live action adaptations. So imagine if EVERY mildly successful Image title had an animated series. The production cost is cheaper and younger audiences are more inclined to watch than read. It would grow the fan base needed to support the cost on a live action. I really think that’s the main reason that American comics have lost so much ground to manga.
  4. Spider-Man Reign has heated up. I’ve always thought it was a bit overlooked in this Spider-verse craze era, especially considering our hot Batman Damned was.
  5. Unless I missed it, I didn’t see the Spawn / Savage Dragon “As Seen on TV” newsstand. I’ve seen commented that there were only 300 copies. That’s seems insanely low. Does anyone have any info on it?
  6. I’ve been looking for later newsstand copies of Curse of the Spawn. #28 seems to be a ghost. Even Mile High doesn’t have any in stock. Anyone else ever look for these?
  7. I recently listed something and a few hours later it showed 3 watchers and only one “view”. Explain that to me? I think the “views” are a bit wonky sometimes.
  8. That’s awesome! I should plan a trip to the Library of Congress.
  9. So I’ve fairly ignorant when it comes to original art….. Is there much early Dikto Amazing Spider-Man OA in existence? For example I always think about those Sinister Six splashes from the first Amazing Spider-Man annual. Do they exist? Is their ownership known?
  10. That’s another undervalued book. I don’t feel like many people know about it.
  11. Has anyone watched his porno? ‘Clitty Clitty Kangbang”
  12. The cover kills the value of DC Comics Presents #26. I LOVE Teen Titans, but have never had that book high on my list because the cover is so terrible.
  13. So you set up a thread, that from the very beginning sounds as if you’re advocating the trolling of sales threads. Then, in said thread that you created, you complain that you yourself are being trolled, and in essence state that your “standard” of trolling is in some way different or superior to others trolling. Yup that sounds like the world live in today
  14. I’d be curious to know if the individuals complaining about pricing are sellers themselves? There’s something to be said about a sellers reputation and their ability to command higher prices. I don’t sell on the boards, but I’ve found that on EBay, because I have 20 years of selling experience I can routinely set my pricing higher than other BINS and SELL higher. I’ll get trashed in a message occasionally, but I just bide my time until I get full asking price. There’s something to be said about good customer service and people are willing to pay extra for it.
  15. I seem to of missed this development as well. It appears Marvel has licensed its characters out to IDW and Archie comics. Seems extremely odd and a telling sign for monthly printed comics.
  16. I’m assuming these OA collectors are the ones that sold it to you
  17. I don’t think you made a mistake, I was just curious. I’m not worried about a prize but thanks for the offer.
  18. 99 was my initial thought, but the phrase "Some of them are honest SHIELD agents" would seem to imply that there is more than 1 honest SHIELD agent in the group. Is that how the original riddle is phrased? Not trying to be negative, I'm genuinely curious. Thanks!
  19. Is there a reason why you listed the Virgin Variant for half the price of this cover? There are only 100 copies of the virgin variant versus 500 of these. By the by, $200 seems a bit high, I’ve seen these go closer to $50. But hey...... shoot for the sky
  20. The Oxford Dictionary has the following definition for rare: (of a thing) not found in large numbers and consequently of interest or value There are currently no copies of Kid 'N Play #9 for sale on Mile High or MCS. There are only two raw copies on EBay for $50. I'd say that definition applies.
  21. I don't know the history of this book. Was the Royal Blue Edition a second printing? I noticed the label designated it as such.
  22. I'd keep an eye on Thunderbolts #1 2nd Print. This is purely anecdotal, but there don't seem to be nearly as many of those floating around. Also The Bunker from Oni Press is in development for NBC. Those issues seem to be selling well. With only 19 issues and the last few being pretty low orders, I can see full sets being solid buys. Marvel Zombies books are selling well with news of them being. Involved in the Disney+ 'What If' series. There have been solid sales on Ultimate FF 21-23 and 30-32 And of course anything related to bourbon sells well
  23. It's a commentary on how the systems and securities that we have in place to make us feel safe and secure have been built upon, and the product of, evil heinous acts throughout our history. It leaves us questioning whether we should feel comfortable sacrificing certain freedoms, as well as the rights of others in order to feel safe and secure ourselves. If you've missed the artistic intent, I encourage you to watch it again
