  1. Thanks guys. So $395 in this condition is too pricey. :-(
  2. Hi guys, anyone willing to take a crack at this? Thanks!
  3. Hi, Appreciate your kind assistance to determine grade for Incredible Hulk 180 as per images below. Marvel stamp is intact. Would also like to know if $395 is fair price for this book in this condition. Best regards, Mark
  4. Here's my application for this club. Hope I get in. :-)
  5. How about Avengers vol 1 #316? This is where Spider-man officially becomes an Avenger!
  6. Thankfully there's only 3 1st print covers total. Whew I believe it was Avenging Spider-man #9 where Carol Danvers appeared first as Captain Marvel. It shares the same published date with Captain Marvel #1 (2012) series but was released first. Avenging Spider-man #9 - July 11, 2012 http://marvel.wikia.com/Avenging_Spider-Man_Vol_1_9 Captain Marvel vol 7 #1 - July 18, 2012 http://marvel.wikia.com/Captain_Marvel_Vol_7_1 Aside from Avenging Spider-man #9 a preview already have her as Captain Marvel. 7. UXM 201 As Cable, New Mutants 86. Appeared on the very last panel (Ala Wolverine).
  8. Same here. Too "campy" for my taste. Almost all the non-comicbook collectors that I know don't even know who or what a Guardians of the Galaxy is. They don't even know that it's from Marvel Comics!
  9. Wow! That's probably the nicest copy of AF 15 I have ever seen! Look at those pristine pages!
  10. Have read in a different forum that below is a rare comicbook that contains an early appearance of Harley Quinn. The indicia on the back cover is 1993 but there is no month indicated. Any info when this thing was actually published? If it's earlier than Batman Adventures 12 then this could really be her first appearance. Front cover: Inside pages (shows Harley Quinn): Back Cover:
  11. Cover d is the hot one. Which one is that? The one with Betty in the nighty? Yes That is a very cool and sexy cover, I have to admit. Now that is what I call "Heating up"!
  12. National Bookstore is the biggest and most prominent bookstore here in the Philippines. They have more funds in reprinting materials. Goodwill Bookstore has only small stores located mostly in the malls. Not sure if they are still business right now since I cannot find their stores anymore. As for Alemars, they are the minority here since they only have very few stores in the country. Alemars also closed shop years ago. Of the three reprints, I consider Alemar's the rarest.
  13. If you have any you want to sell let me know. I'm pretty much always in the market for them. (thumbs u Im curious about something Mark? If you had known it was a National Bookstore what would you have done? Would you have still bought it? Also, do you think it is possible the original owner of the store could still be around with back stock? Thanks a million! (thumbs u Sorry for the very late reply. Was busy last couple of days. To answer your first question, I would have not bought it in the first place since I originally thought it was the real deal and not a reprint. My face was full of frustration when I got home and opened the comicbook and found out it was a reprint. I almost throwed it in a garbage can! As for the shop's owner, I believe he consigned the remaining stock to another hobby shop since he cannot find anyone interested in buying them. Take note that this happened two years ago.
  14. Hi, I live in the Philippines and want to show my copy of Superman #249. This one is a National Bookstore reprint. I actually bought this copy accidentally since I thought it was an original. There was a store here in the Phillipines which closed a few years ago selling these reprints. I think they had a reprint also of the 1st appearance of Bullseye (Daredevil 131) in their long boxes.
  15. I believe there is an Activity going on in the movies: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/03/28/seven-more-things-we-learned-at-fablescon-the-activity-adam-hughes-and-stuff-of-legend-meets-tales-of-the-guard/
  16. Check the slabbed copies notation of Amazing Spider-man 698. That's the 1st appearance right there.
  17. This is a tough one Ken! Any clues? Is it paying homage to another Image Comics cover? This is a tough one, for sure. Clue: Issue 2's slickest element points the way. Some wild guesses: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_e-tVAUR9PwU/TOtYFFLv3GI/AAAAAAAAAOU/kw-6OVzjg8w/s1600/ramones1.jpg and http://georgethecat.tumblr.com/post/6781193776/icicleman-image-comic-book-cover-featuring

  19. Trade 1? http://www.ebay.com/itm/MARVEL-COMICS-ANNIHILATION-CONQUEST-6-1ST-APPEARANCE-GUARDIANS-GALAXY-2008-VF-/281061328772?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item41708f8784 Not my listing and it's only VF, but that's the first one I've seen listed. Edit: Interesting to see the price. I don't believe that this issue is their first appearance because the group has not yet named themselves as Guardians of the Galaxy. It is only in Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 #1 that they decided to call themselves Guardians of the Galaxy. And also that group has a different cast of characters compared to the one in Annihilation Conquest. Im pretty sure at the end of this issue they do mention them as the Guardians or mention them in the upcoming GOTG series preview. I will check and post later I'm going to read it a little later too. Any news on this?

  21. That's nothing. Here's something that'll make you feel better. Two years ago, I bought a NM Walking Dead 19 for 1$. Since I had no idea of the value of the comic and the entire franchise, I sold it on our local ebay forums for 4$. I was happy with the profit. A month later, I randomly decided to check the price on ebay.com. I've been crying ever since. Anyone care to top this tale of woe? Aha! So you are one who was selling the WD 19 in ebay.ph a few years back! I saw that auction and was thinking to bid but I was not aware on how much will go up since the TWD show was only beginning during that time. No knowledge also that it was the 1st appearance of Michonne. Knowledge is indeed power.
  22. I believe I saw your auction in ebay.ph. An Image Lot consisting of Think Tank #1, Black Acre #1, and Nowhere Men #1. But there is a note that Nowhere Men #1 is not included. Exactly. LPC? Nope. Just a guy who's looking for Nowhere Men #1 1st print. I almost bought your auction due to the excitement of looking at the Nowhere Men #1 in the picture. Luckily, I read your description! Hahaha!
