Ok, I have to brag a bit. Not everyone's taste, but here is my sole Church book. Funny story: I don't like Westerns as a rule, but I had a decent copy of Trigger #3 in my collection for a long time and actually warmed to it. (I'm very sentimental and reminds me of my Grandmother's love of horses) Anyway, I had sell a bunch of books and, in a moment of weakness, I listed it along with my other westerns. I won't say what it sold for, but I was able to buy this copy for the same exact price! It was meant to be!

By the way, those of you who don't know already, Church books are stunning, and this one is freshy-fresh and simply amazing to hold. I'm content now...

  2. Rich just grabbed a few of my favorite Fiction House covers from my recent sales thread. He was great with communication and fast with payment. Can't ask for more than that! Hope to do business again real soon. Thanks!

  3. Rick and I have done a number of transactions ever since he joined the boards. (I might have bought his first book actually) Anyway, payment is always fast as is his shipping. Recently, we completed a rather substantial trade and not-only did we both walk away happy - it was actually fun to do!. He's a straight shooter who genuinely loves comics. I don't know about you, but I'm hoping to do lots of business with him in the future. Great guy!

  4. Bob not only sold me I really great copy of a Wings comics that I've been looking for (for a great price) he's one of the few folks and knows who Lily Renée is and that makes him aces in my book. Great guy, and a great seller... I would highly recommend to all!

  5. I know they are expensive :/ What is my best alternative then?

I use short boxes made of corrugated plastic. Acid-free / resistant to water and vermin

+1 on these boxes. I get the longer version : I've bought 20 and not looked back. Not only archival, they are tuff as tanks and a little shorter than a normal long box which reduces overall weight. Best portable boxes around. I would, if used on a daily basis, run white gaffer's tape around the top of the box to prevent any gashing to the bottoms of comics (in bag) when inserting them back into the box. So far I've not hurt a comic, but I've busted the corner of a few Mylite2's.

Long term, I would highly recommend sealing the bottom edges with gaffer's or white monster tape to make waterproof from spills/leaks (which is just piece of mind for storage) Stored on a pallet, or 2x4's in storage, waters can flood at least 8" high before penetrating the box. Higher if you seal the handle holes.
