  1. Sounds good Peter! I think I asked this already but can't remember your answer - do the books go in the modern tier even if they're Signature Series? Just trying to get a feel for the turnaround times for these books. Did you bend my IF in half before getting it signed Look forward to getting the books back, appreciate it Drew Hey Drew, SS books are treated the same way date wise. If it is pre 1975 it would fall under Economy. Also, Peter didn't bend your IF. I did though. Uhh, sorry about that. Was that the book you were using to try and hammer a tack into the wall at the store last week? It was one of them. They were pretty useless to hammer the tacks in really far, so I had to use several of Drew's books. Right right And you used the rest to change your daughter! Yup!

  4. (for the Cancer check) BTW, what's a Breat?
  5. Sorry, haven't had my caffene yet today.
  6. I want to know if he was yanking our collective chain, or if he got some books signed, or anything.
  7. I'm almost tempted to phone his cel # and wake his out of bed.
  8. Boy, he's really got you slaving. You should see the whip marks. Ahh, but it is worth it, as I get to insult Doug every time I am in.
  9. I put this one in. Hopefully a 9.6 for this one.
  10. Should be about 3 months. Alex, will you be organizing Paradise's incoming CGC books or is that still Pete's responsibility? Yup that's me. I just did 6 boxes on Thursday.
  11. I remember seeing some Sgt. Fury's that were signed by Ayers a year+ ago getting Purple labels - they all had some color touch on them I just got an Uncanny X-Men in the 30's back, signed by Roy Thomas...missing a page. I now have the lowest graded SS book. What can I say, [#@$%!!!] happens.
  12. It's from "THE ART OF JOHN BYRNE". I wish I owned the original... I asked Pete to try and get me a Gwen Stacy Byrne sketch. Don't count on it. You never know, but don't count on it.
  13. I just got back stuff this week from San Diego, and I am still waiting on some books. Look for them in March. No FF 232 or AF 13. My AF 13 was only about a 9.4 (all the corners sucked). I almost put in an AF12 which was really nice, but settled on an AF1 (9.4-9.6). I wanted to slab a bunch of 9.6/9.8 FFs....but I couldn't justify spending the cash. Wish I had a NM/MT copy of 232. I would have liked to do about a hundred books.... That's why I sell some...so I can afford to keep some as well.
  14. I have to ask, where did you get that sketch? It is really nice.

  16. Or when Pete's knife slipped when he was opening the slabs. Now that was funny.
  17. Mine...all mine. Maybe you would have an interest in a trade for one of those 108's? Just thinking the same thing. Show me the list.... I'll send you the full list when the grades come back. I have a wide selection for Mr. Byrne.

  19. Thought it would be cool to have Byrne sign copies of his 1st published work & 1st work at Marvel.(Nightmare 20 & GS Dracula 5). MTU 53(1st work on X-men) & 108 are Grail books to me. I wanted to submit IF 15(2nd work on X-men), but my 9.2 & 9.4 are already signed...and I couldn't bring myself to crack 9.6s. I've always loved 140-143. I submitted the 130 mainly because it was a CGG book....and because it's a sweet copy. As for the FFs..... I love those issues. The 108's were really nice. I almost peed my pants when I saw so many of them. Are you selling any? Or are they all for you?
  20. I'm sure there has been at least one. But not many people put books in that aren't moderns', so probably not too many have been PLOD'ed.
  21. Nightmare 20 Giant-size Dracula 5 X-men 108 (6 copies), 130, 140-143 MTU 53 FF 211 and this.... Hey Chris, That was the book I sneezed on...I'm still sorry about that. I guess I shouldn't have taken it out of the bag to read it...to my daughter...who is two...who then played with it...and ripped a bunch of pages in it. Don't worry, it should still get a yellow label.
  22. Kudos for a very easy transaction with Wasonff. Always a pleasure Drew.
