  1. I grabbed a new one the other night too. Apologies to whoever, or is it whomever , I took it from.
  2. Nice. I was watching that for ages and made a few offers to mcs but the seller declined all. Glad it went to you J!
  3. Nicely done, Todd! Needless to say, we were all watching it. I never stopped looking for the first set for you so I'll just stay the course. Three A1's! Now you're a bigger hoarder than me.
  4. Nice. Don't think I've seen that one before. Me either. Looks like Decarlo.
  5. Love this cover. Lucey did know his curves. I also feel like his covers always has outfits with more texture than other artists. Anyway, great books. I have the others in mid to high grades, but I've been looking to upgrade this one for a while. Thanks for sharing!
  6. Yeah well, I hope you're not losing any sleep. Don't get me wrong, the hoarder in me would like to own a dozen copies in varying grades, but I would have traded a 4.0 for a 6.5 in a heartbeat. I'm just shocked you'd actually consider putting your 22 on the block. You'd have to pry it from my cold dead hands. I'm going to be selling both of them so I can outright buy a house on the Eastern Shore. Then with any leftover/saved money I have I'll be buying lower grades of both books. That's crazy talk Gentleman, by now you should both surely know that I am indeed a mad woman! Mad, I say! Don't count or real estate increasing in value. Hah! That's pretty true, but I don't want to rent a place, I want to outright buy a home and you know...be an adult! Adults mortgage their home at a good rate and write off the interest. Adults realize that buying a home outright is nothing but one big liability. And most of all ADULTS DON'T GET RID OF THEIR COMIC BOOKS!

That is very grown up of you! Sounds like an awful idea.

  9. Hard to tell for sure, Lauren, but if that picture was taken in a car I highly recommend a seat belt. P.S. It just makes me happy to look at. I think I'll go pull my copies and stare for a while.
  10. Very nice books. I agree with you wanting to include those books in the Suzie run. 44 is on of my favorite covers and I still don't have a copy. 45 I think is more common but still a great one to! Thanks for sharing!
  11. Well we tried. Hope the buyer gets their money back somehow. What a shame people don't use the tools available to them.
  12. Guys wanna help me save someone from getting ripped off? We have 1.5 hours to get this pulled from ebay. Archie 2 No activity in over a year and the CGC verification tool confirms the books is not in the database. Clearly the bidding on it proves most people know it's , yet eBay has not removed it yet. I have reported it, but if I'm the only one it's pointless.
  13. Had the above slabbed. The 26 came back a blue label 4.0 with Off White pages and the 36 came back as a universal 3.5 (detached cover) with WHITE pages! I'm happy with both grades. The 36 really looks fantastic. Nice! I always hold my breath when buying raw books on eBay. Glad these worked out for you. I couldn't agree more. Grade aside, I was just pleased to hear they both came back universal for you! Congrats!
  14. I spent hours in the basement of that place digging through boxes of Archie comics. Good times! (thumbs u
  15. This thread needs a and I have been a little distracted by my recent move, so I figured I'd share last night's pickup. It ain't the prettiest copy, but I didn't have one, and though the BIN of $35 was more than fair.
  16. Honestly I have been so distracted, I didn't even see this book on C-Link. It an awesome copy. Congratulations!!
  17. Wow Jason, nice placeholder. Too bad about the missing pages, that cover is a beauty!
  18. Damn fine price! I tried for a snipe but it jumped over 2k so fast my 1350 didn't even register. Who got it?
  19. I so wanted that 26 ... but trust me I was out way before the end. Congrats... staining or no staining, it's an amazing book! And yes, shame about the 36 being detached, but seriously it's a beaut!
  20. Almost bought that in Chicago Yeah I was talking to Stephen about it before the show, he told me he almost forgot to pull it from the stand. Thanks for leaving a copy for me.
  21. Had to pick this one up today. Was in need of an upgrade for my copy, and well ... we can't let Steve have all the pedigree books.
  22. Here are my 30 and 31 as promised. Not high grade, but clean, attached, complete and unrestored.
