  1. I also dig Bagley's art and as a collector of X-23 art I have a few pages from All-New X-Men:
  2. In fairness, I paid about a quarter of that.
  3. Ouch, his rates sure have gone up since I got mine. Can't blame him, though, when people flip his work on eBay for 2k+. Both of mine were done with no input from me other than the character. Didn't even specify a costume.
  4. Thanks! And I agree with your assessments, Dell'otto did beautiful work on them and I love both dearly.
  5. Seeing the prices for those original Dell'otto sketch covers on eBay linked recently, I practically stole mine: Sorry for the fuzzy scan of the first book, I need to take a better picture of it.
  6. Here's a Facebook post he did about it: https://www.facebook.com/CreatorofX23/posts/1236842233036907 Also, he went into a bit more detail in this interview: https://soundcloud.com/marvel/this-week-in-marvel-ep-281-monsters-unleashed-spider-man-x-23#t=1:36:35 I tried linking to the timestamp where he goes into it, if that doesn't work then skip to 1:36:35.
  7. Wolverine #80 has nothing to do with X-23. The fact that the vial seen in the issue has the number 23 on it is a total coincidence. This has been confirmed by the creator of X-23, Craig Kyle.
  8. Can't believe no comment on this one. AWESOME, congrats! Thanks, man
  9. It's official. http://www.cbr.com/x-23-second-villain-confirmed-for-third-wolverine-film-logan/
  10. That's not quite correct. She was around 15 in NYX. In the current All-New Wolverine, she's probably around 19-20. Her exact age hasn't been stated, but we know she's not 21 yet and we also know she's 18-19+. And she was indeed portrayed as a little child in that first "Innocence Lost" miniseries, although she was up to the start of her teen years by the time it ended and Laura escaped from the facility.
  11. The original painting is still available. 12k euros.
  12. I'm a big X-23 fan and I love the All-New Wolverine variant this much.
  13. I can finally uncross my fingers.
  14. Why? People pay more for JSC and Dell Otto is a better artist, IMO. Comic book prices are set by rarity and demand, etc, not by how good the art is. And I happen to think this book is wildly overpriced at prices of 1-2k. It's mostly speculators driving up prices on old X-23 books after Marvel made her "All-New Wolverine" recently. Um, demand can be set by good art. So, once again, why is it OK to pay $1-3k plus for a JSC book but not Dell Otto? I didn't say it's not ok, I was just stating my opinion that it's a silly price and that if you wait, you can get it cheaper. But by all means, go ahead if you think otherwise. It doesn't hurt me if you make the copy I own more valuable.

  16. The original 14x20 painting of this DKIII cover by Dell'otto is now for sale for 15,000 euros if anyone's got deep pockets.
  17. People are putting up X-23 #1 Dell'ottos at crazy prices, I hope no one is buying them for that kind of money. As for interior work, Dell'otto did the .
  18. Love Dell'otto's art. He did one of the best among the million variants for DKIII as well: Personally I only collect X-23 books so I only have a copy of the X-23 #1 (raw) that I'm hoping will turn into a 9.8 in a few months. Fingers crossed. I also have these original art commission covers, though, both CGC SS:
  19. I've edited my post to include a less distracting photo for you guys.
  20. The detail I was trying to show off was the frame...
  21. Got this back from the framer recently. Archival materials and museum glass. Not the best photo as I was using my phone in not very good lighting conditions, but I'm very happy with the result.
  22. Kudos and thanks to Par2ch for this little beauty that came out of his sketch opp with Jose Varese:
