  1. Time to stop selling my east of West. What what's up Dmac. Hey
  2. Come back to New York Ken, the upper east side misses you! Nice talking to you in Seattle
  3. I have same thing , same date, the last 20 books are shipped, the first 30 still in QC.
  4. Getting back my 18's next week, out of 5 submitted, 3 passed 9.8, tough book with black cover.
  5. These guys were extremely popular at ECCC, especially at the Image signing booth, dancing and signing their book at the same time.
  6. Ken sold me his last first print of #1 this weekend at ECCC, I also got the backstory of where most of Todd was written. Ironically it was at a coffee shop near me in NYC, when Ken lived hear.
  7. Fiona Staples will be coming in for the MoCCA Arts Festival this weekend in NYC, at the 68th st Armory, April 5 - 6.
  8. Obviously the best thing to do when your business has ridiculous turn around times that still can't be met is to attend 100 conventions and try to get more books to grade. Maybe skip a convention or two to catch up? I am amazed that a legit competitor has not tried to capitalize on this. Only Vault and PGX, and they are either a bunch of hacks or refuse to tell anyone who they are. Maybe PSA will see an opportunity. Well, really, the best thing to do from the business standpoint would be to go to as many cons as possible and drum up more business. You've already been paid for the business you have in the queue, you only get paid more if you get new business. Books already in the process are a captive audience that don't generate new income. Sucks, but that's the way it is. What I'm not clear on is why con Fridays don't count towards TATs. Except in the case of on-site grading, where it would make sense that they couldn't do any grading in Sarasota, a skeleton crew being sent to a con to man a booth shouldn't hold up progress on the queue. That is, unless I've missed something. The con Friday stipulation seems to be an excuse to get a free business day that doesn't count towards their self-measured TATs (that are rarely accurate anyway). In other news, my 3/25 value sub is still stuck on received. What you are describing is the best thing to do for profit not business. Keeping customers is part of business. They can get away with it because there is no competition (real competition anyway). I agree with you, but keeping the doors open and the lights on helps too. If they wanted to help TATs a lot they could suspend submissions until they got caught up. But they'd probably go under before that happened. They're clearly not having an issue with customer retention even with ballooning TATs. Especially now that they have to drop a bunch of money on a JIM 83. I go to quite a few shows, and have seen people who have Golden Age books who don't trust sending them in by mail, so they wait till they see CGC at a show then submit. CGC also makes quite a bit of coin from doing SS, this weekend at ECCC they ran out of boxes to ship back to their offices, so they must be doing something right.
  9. Mine are sitting at graded since March 21st, along with a few 2's and 3's, not worried should get them back in a couple of weeks. Oh and a few Ottley's
  10. Will never happen as long as AMC has his rights, Image would have to pay a lot to have that happen.
  11. For the folks who live in NYC, Fiona Staples will be signing on April 4th at 6:30pm at the Midtown Comics Downtown at 64 Fulton St.. Unfortunately i can't make it as i will be in Boston for Opening Day for the Red Sox, but ENJOY!!
  12. Or even next month, when the Ottley SS comeback from CGC that were done this weekend.
  13. Should see a lot of #19 variant SS by next month, Tim Seeley was signing a stack after Mike Norton. Hope he doesn't get sick after looking at so many, like he did with #9 CBDLF.
  14. Andrew Pepoy was at ECCC this weekend, and his last issue of variants is #8, and it will be epic.
  15. Getting some SS of the variant at ECCC, and don't forget issue 7 has a Phantom Variant, and issue 6 has two variant, missed the Trick or Treat one.
  16. Was the first to submit the Ottley cover for SS today at ECCC, and he didn't see me till almost 3pm. I did not see any Ottley's on anybody's wall books at the show, only a few regular.
  17. It helps a lot, I hated when they did before, but their advantage is huge to them and the consumer. They took in triple the amount of books at the con in NYC, compared to last year.
  18. If you don't plan on selling the books and are time sensitive (hot moderns) don't fast track. Instead send more slow track. +1 I send everything in now Modern Pre Screen, I know it takes longer, the upside is lower prices for customer.
  19. does anyone else get the feeling that the DH 25 might have a good chance at a 9.9 or 10? In general I mean, I don't have enough information about this one specifically. It seems relatively easy to keep things sharp on the thicker stock. I don't know, i had the only two submitted, and they were pre screen for 9.8.
