  3. I wish metropolis would put a search button for pedigrees on there site.They have such a great inventory. Something like heritage has.If you punch in the word[mile high] all the mile highs they have for sale come up.

  13. the oct copies will say oct and nothing else,,there are no black circles on oct copies...the nov copies have the oct blocked by a black circle,,on some copies you can see the oct through the black circle[only on some.like the one above were the black circle was scratched off..and you can see oct and nov,,this is actually a nov copy..
  14. i have owned 2 marvel 1s,a restored copy purchased at pce in 1994 and an unrestored poor copy from mr alexander,complete, but every page was separated from the other due to a brittle spine,but the cover was beautiful,, a dark blue and yellow..my favorote golden age cover!
  15. i wonder what jp is going to do with the pay copy of marvel 1 as it appears he is liquidating his comicbook holdings? I would speculate you will see it in the next heritage signature auction? the problem with this book is can heritage get him the amount that he needs to break even? that amount is the 350k he paid mr geppi.. it is a possibility that its next on the block... what are your thoughts
  16. marvel #1s that are currently availible on the open market are the denver copy at heritage, the nick cage copy at metro and a coverless on ebay...

  18. i ,from my own experience would give eeire #1 a scarcity rating of about between 6 and 7,,so a 6.5... THATS IN ANY CONDITION...

  23. more than that.. adventure comics started out as new comics and evovled into adventure ,the series started in the late 1930s...i believe the mile highs start with the earliest issues
  24. all of the early issues including adv 40,48,61.. was new comics #1 a mile high? i think so...before turning into adventure
