Congratulations on picking up a great book, man. It sounds like you picked it up because you love it, so as long as it makes you happy I wouldn't worry about the cost. I, personally, held the record for price paid for a 9.4 not too long ago. The Surfer has always be a fave of mine and I wanted a near mint copy with a good wrap which are hard to find. One day I came across one with perfect wrap and knew I was in trouble the moment I saw it so the trigger was pulled. Honestly, I never thought I'd get to the "black" with that book based on the price I paid - but here we are!

One of these days I will own a NM one of these issues. I've been wanting it for a while but at this point I've come to accepted it as my current mission. If any of these very nice specimens in this thread or the one that preceded it are up for sale hit me up. I'm looking for a 9.4 specifically but I'd consider a 9.6.

Greetings all! I've been a collector for nearing 20 years now (funny to say it as that's half my life). It has always been new books but the last couple of years the fever of collecting some older stuff has bit me pretty hard. I've always had my "would like to own" list of early stuff I liked (Silver Surfer and other cosmic characters mostly) but only recently have I been acting on those wants. Anyway, I've lurked for a long time and figured I'd finally introduce myself since this board has, unknowingly, provided me some significant enjoyment. I likely still won't post much, but hopefully when I do it'll be good. Excelsior!?
